Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some wonderful news to pass on about a returning DOOL star. Jaime Lyn Bauer, who portrays Laura Horton on the NBC soap, has announced to her fans that she filmed a few shows back in December, which means that Laura will be returning to the show for a short arc soon.
Fans will remember that Laura is Jennifer Deveraux’s (Cady McClain) mother and Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) grandmother. Laura last appeared on Days of Our Lives back in 2018, and Abigail went to visit Laura to get intensive treatment for her Dissociative Identity Disorder off-screen.
Jaime Lyn Bauer revealed her return to Days of Our Lives on her Facebook page, where she wrote not only about her return but also about the COVID protocols that the actors and crew go through on a daily basis.
“I wrote to all of you a few days ago and it was not posted for whatever reason,” Jaime Lyn wrote. “All to say that I shot 6 shows for Days of Our Lives in beginning of December. Under COVID rules with 2 tests at the beginning of each work week and one test every day after that.”
Jaime Lyn continued: “You come into the building, test, then go back out and wait in your car until your test comes back negative and then they wave you back in. A mask is worn everywhere.
Rehearsing your lines with another actor happens over the phone. Once you are called to your set, your mask can only be taken off once you are on your set and doing your camera rehearsal.”
Jaime Lyn also says in the post that the actors come to the studio with their own hair and makeup done, since they’re only allowed to be in the makeup/hair chair for 15 minutes. Jaime Lyn also revealed that her shows will air on Feb 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11.
Jaime Lyn’s fans have been responding with enthusiasm, with many commenting that they can’t wait to see Laura return to Days of Our Lives, and that they’re suspecting that her return might have to do with the Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) story.
As Days of Our Lives viewers know, Gwen has unleashed a multi-pronged attack on the Deveraux family, and Laura could be called in as support. It’s always possible that Abigail will have difficulty dealing with Chad’s affair with Gwen – Laura has returned to help with Abigail before, so she might do so again.
