Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) might strike a deal to rejoin the Vitali mob. Will Jake put his life in jeopardy to save Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) company?
DOOL fans know Jake was rattled when Gabi started asking questions about his time back in “Philly.” Jake denied being a hitman, but he did admit to being a bit of an enforcer and getting violent if people paying for protection didn’t come through.
Jake also worried to Gabi about the mob potentially finding him useful again and trying to draw him back in.
Unfortunately, Jake hasn’t been completely honest with Gabi according to Days spoilers.
Jake was indeed a hitman – and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) will be able to provide Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) with proof thanks to the records Cousin Angelo Vitali (Angelo Tiffe) kept.
Gabi will reel after Philip blackmails her with this info and tries to get her to sign over Gabi Chic.
Ava wants to run that company herself with a name change and a fresh perspective, so she’ll hope Gabi caves under pressure.
After Gabi demands the real story from Jake, he’ll have to admit Philip is right. Jake has committed murders that he could be held accountable for, so Angelo’s evidence should leave Gabi concerned.
Gabi may be tempted to do what Philip wants and keep Jake out of prison, but Jake will hate to see Gabi give up something so huge.
Days spoilers say Jake will then corner Philip and rip into him, but that’s probably not going to accomplish much.
It might actually rile Philip up even further and make him more convinced that Gabi should sign over control.
However, Jake isn’t a quitter and could easily try to work out a solution. Since Ava will be the one holding all the cards, Jake would be smart to go over Philip’s head here.
Jake has had some pleasant enough conversations with Ava in the past and might be able to reach an agreement with her now.
Ava doesn’t want any personal ties to the mob, but she obviously still has connections and can call in favors.
It’s possible that when Angelo looks into Jake for Ava, he’ll be reminded of what a great hitman Jake was.
Cousin Angelo might want Jake to get back in the business if he had his way.
Ava needs to stay on good terms with Angelo and might be willing to negotiate something, especially if Jake insists Philip can’t be trusted.
Who’s to say Philip will really deliver on his promise of Ava Chic? Jake needs to convince Ava to stand down and eliminate Philip’s leverage.
If Jake can’t work out a deal with Ava, he could go straight to Angelo instead.
As long as Angelo hasn’t technically handed over the evidence at that point, Jake could push for a trade: getting an excellent hitman back in exchange for Angelo’s silence.
Gabi wouldn’t want Jake to make that deal, but it may be out of her hands!
In fact, this Gabi Chic drama may explode into something far worse than Philip anticipated, even if he changes his mind and tries to undo the damage.
DOOL viewers can expect some mob mayhem down the road, so we’ll pass along updates as other Days news comes in.
