Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) possession movie could make a surprise comeback – perhaps with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) as the new star.
When Johnny returned from Italy and learned Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) was genuinely possessed by the devil again, that brought his film plans to a screeching halt.
Johnny no doubt assumed that’d be the end of his dream since his grandmother’s well-being had to come first.
However, there’s the potential for Johnny’s movie to move forward after all.
Days spoilers say Marlena will be busy trying to make things right in the coming weeks.
Marlena will be sorry for manipulating Johnny while she was under the devil’s control, so how might she make it up to him?
We could buy the idea of Marlena still granting permission for the movie now that the devil’s been vanquished. After all, there’s bound to be loads of interest since Marlena’s situation blew up in the media.
Johnny may have all kinds of financial backers begging him to make this film – and now Johnny has a great final chapter to wrap the story up all neat and tidy.
Marlena might suggest that as long as the film ends with a message of love conquering all, she’s on board with Johnny telling her story.
Unfortunately, Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) was never a huge fan of the possession movie idea to begin with and certainly won’t be a fan now!
Chanel knows she was manipulated by the devil and may bail on her role in the flick.
Likewise, Chanel might object to Johnny including the part about her blowing up Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) wedding to Abe Carver (James Reynolds).
It’s easy to see how this could cause major conflict in Johnny and Chanel’s new marriage.
Days spoilers reveal that Chanel and Johnny will indeed face a serious marriage crisis early on – one that sends them down two different paths.
Johnny may decide to make this movie with or without the support of his wife.
Chanel is set to lean on Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) in the aftermath of her marital woes, so she may vent about how selfish Johnny’s being and insist that Allie was right about her twin’s flaws.
Meanwhile, we know Johnny’s going to take an interest in Gabi. Maybe that interest will be based on Gabi’s potential acting skills – at least at first.
Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) wouldn’t want to be in a possession movie after everything that’s gone down, but Gabi?
Gabi will do anything for fame and money – both of which Johnny could promise her if she joins his film.
Johnny may vow to make Gabi a star, but DOOL spoilers suggest she’d rather have his DiMera shares for the takeover plot that’s brewing.
Perhaps something can be arranged since Gabi will try to score those shares in the new year.
There’s no guarantee that Johnny will still get a chance to make his possession film, but it seems like the glue that could bind a lot of crucial spoilers together.
We also know Johnny will make a shocking announcement during the week of January 3-7, so his announcement might be that the possession film is still happening and will be better than ever!
The possession storyline isn’t completely over yet, so Days of Our Lives spoilers say Johnny could play a part in how it continues.
