Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there was a moment between some unusual screen partners recently. Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) comforted Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) over Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) rejection, which led to Gabi and Roman realizing they had something in common.
Like Gabi, Roman isn’t a fan of Jake and Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow) as a couple – though not for the same reasons. Roman was on the same team when it came to being against Kate dating Jake, but he refused to let Gabi trash-talk Kate in front of him.
It’s clear that Roman still cares for Kate and wants her to be happy. Roman just thinks Kate could do a whole lot better than Jake. In fact, it seems Roman thinks Kate could do a whole lot better by reuniting with him!
During the week of March 22-26, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Roman will make a shocking declaration. Could that be one of love? People don’t usually go around declaring much else in Salem, so we’re thinking Roman will indeed confess his true feelings for Kate.
That unusual DOOL scene between Gabi and Roman makes more sense now. It was a way to show Roman’s feelings for Kate and set him up to make a play for her. Of course, we have to wonder how Kate will react to Roman’s love profession – assuming that it is one. Will Kate feel the same way deep down?
Kate might try to cling to the spark she’s found with Jake, but we have to wonder what they’re even trying to hang onto anymore. All Jake and Kate do is fight about Gabi! Kate might see the potential to be with a man she doesn’t have to compete with anyone for.
Roman is familiar, trustworthy and a more age-appropriate love interest, so Kate could eliminate her insecurities in that department, too. Naturally, it’s possible Kate will cheat on Jake with Roman because that’s just something Kate does. Cheating seems to run in Kate’s blood, so we can’t rule it out.
However, we’re more inclined to think Kate will just flat-out dump Jake for Roman – and because Jake is obviously hung up on Gabi, even if he won’t admit it to himself. If Kate breaks up with Jake to reunite with Roman, Days spoilers say it could be a game-changer for Gabi.
There’d be some interesting ways to take the story since Jake might blame Gabi and resist even more – or fall into bed with Gabi immediately out of spite for Kate. We could even see Gabi play hard to get once the competition’s out of the picture.
Regardless, all roads seemingly lead to Kate winding up with Roman and Gabi winding up with Jake. All’s well that ends well since these couples are great matches! We’ll keep you posted as other Days news and updates emerge.
