Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is possessed again. The devil knows to be more careful this time. The last thing Lucifer wants is to be driven out before accomplishing his mission, which is to literally turn Salem into hell on Earth. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) unknowingly gave “MarDevil” an idea and it raises the stakes for everyone in Salem.
John Black’s Mention
DOOL spoilers reveal that Marlena is repossessed, and we don’t mean by your typical bill collector! The only people who know the truth are Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Marlena herself. It was a sacrifice Marlena was forced to make to save Doug.
John is completely unaware of what is happening to “Doc.” During a conversation, John mentioned Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) movie. That is when “MarDevil” got an idea.

Even though Lucifer has been waiting 27 years to get back inside Marlena, the devil has a few obstacles. For one thing, he has to be careful about avoiding detection.
If anyone, especially John, gets wind of the truth, then an exorcism will kick the devil to the curb. There is also the devil’s plan – to turn Salem into hell on Earth.
The sleepy little town will become a funhouse for Satan. At least, that is the goal but how to accomplish that without getting caught in an exorcism is a problem.
Marlena Evans’ Generous Investment
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that “MarDevil” gets the idea to use Johnny’s movie as a way to kickstart the demonic plan. The devil can pretty much use anything to infect innocent human beings, so why not a movie?
Plus, Johnny has been taunting the devil and poking fun at the possession story. The devil could make it possible for Johnny to get financing for the film through Marlena’s generous investment.
The devil could start infecting people as soon as filming begins. Then, when the movie is made, it is possible that anyone who watches the movie and listens to the words being spoken could be at risk of possession.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Taking Over Salem
The devil could use Johnny’s movie to terrorize the Salemites. Just when an exorcism is performed on one person, the devil could leave only to jump into someone else.
Not only would he avoid being exorcised, but it would cause a lot more damage on so many levels. The stakes would certainly be raised, it would be right up the alley for an intense Halloween special and it would allow the storyline to continue for a while.
With John getting a clue from Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), it would be way too soon for this story to end.
So, there has to be a way to extend this storyline longer than one week. Most soap storylines last several months, so hang on to your remote controls. “MarDevil” 2.0 is just getting started.
