Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Melissa Reeves is set to return as Jennifer Horton Deveraux, so let’s talk about when this DOOL star will come home to Salem. Reeves will be back in the role by Christmas according to reliable Days insiders, including one who spoke to TVLine.
“JnJ” superfan Kelli Gustafson first offered updates on Reeves’ holiday return after meeting her in person at a special event – and now multiple sources are backing up Reeves’ Christmas comeback as Jennifer.
This is big news, especially since Reeves will be reclaiming the role from Cady McClain.
Of course, Days viewers are used to seeing different actresses in the role of Abigail DiMera by now since the show’s switched between Kate Mansi and Marci Miller several times.
It’s always possible McClain will slide in for another turn as Jennifer down the road, but it’s Reeves who’ll be part of the holiday action in Salem this year.
Just as a memory refresher, Jennifer left town following the death of Laura Horton (Jaime Lyn Bauer). She had to go settle her mother’s affairs in Boston after that deadly encounter with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), but the process proved more complicated than Jennifer expected.
Abigail eventually joined Jennifer there since Marci Miller had to go on maternity leave, but Miller will reprise her role as Abigail soon – and Days spoilers state that Jennifer won’t be too far behind since she’ll show up by Christmastime!
Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) will no doubt be thrilled to reunite with Jennifer in time to celebrate the holidays in Salem.
There are always plenty of heartwarming scenes at the Horton house, so it’s good to know Jennifer will be part of those.
Although there’s no word yet on the length of Jennifer’s stay beyond the Christmas episode or what the future holds for the character, we’ll fill you in as other DOOL news becomes available.
