Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, June 14, reveals that Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) chose Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) over Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) while EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) made a fierce threat against Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer). As for Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash), he was forced to delay dumping Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow).
At the hospital, Brady and Philip took jabs at each other after they both brought Chloe her favorite flowers. Brady wanted Chloe to move in the townhouse since there was plenty of room and he could take care of her – just like she’d taken care of him when he suffered a gunshot wound.
Philip thought that was the worst idea he’d ever heard and was adamant about taking Chloe back to the Kiriakis mansion. In the end, Chloe chose Philip’s offer and spoke with Brady alone about how it wasn’t the best plan to move in with him right now.
Brady just had his heart broken by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), so Chloe pushed for some distance between them and some time apart.
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) informed Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that she was back together with Jake, so Chad promptly chewed her out.
Chad felt like Gabi was being selfish for expecting Jake to break things off with Kate when she was at her lowest.
Gabi didn’t particularly care since Kate would do the same if the situation were flipped. She refused to let Kate steal her happiness, but Chad remained livid.
Meanwhile, Jake almost caught Kate talking to herself about taking him down along with Gabi, but he seemed oblivious as he sat down and confessed his Gabi hookup.
Jake admitted that was what was missing from Kate’s memory gap, but she cut off his explanation and insisted she forgave him. Kate held Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) responsible for the deception and felt like that was the only reason Jake wound up in Gabi’s bed.
After Kate whined about how much she needed Jake, he held her close before returning home to the DiMera mansion. That’s where Chad insisted Jake needed to hold off on starting his future with Gabi.
When Jake found Gabi in her bedroom, she was eager to show him just how much she’d missed him. Gabi just wanted to know how it went dumping Kate first, so Jake looked uneasy.
At Basic Black on Monday’s DOOL episode, Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) throttled Xander with his tie after his repeated threats and attempts to land a job there. Brady walked in and looked taken aback by the heated confrontation in front of him.
As for EJ, he waltzed in the townhouse after Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) left him in. Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) was alarmed when EJ insisted he heard a swine was trying to interfere in his marriage.
EJ thought it was the right time to collect his wife, but he was merely talking about Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) and terrible mess he’d caused.
Lucas felt like EJ should’ve been there for Sami sooner – and once Lucas was gone, EJ acknowledged that he’d been a bad husband lately.
EJ was deeply appreciative of all the work Sami had put in to help him get better and wanted to save their marriage – that is if Sami still felt they had one to save.
Sami was enthusiastic about fixing things, but she got uncomfortable when EJ wanted to clear up what happened with Lucas. It was another false alarm since EJ just admitted he knew Xander had been Kristen’s hired hit man.
EJ was sorry for not giving Sami a heads-up on taking his money back, but he felt confident she could get a grip on things – and he was right. As for Xander, EJ ominously assured Sami that he could handle him.
At the hospital again on Monday’s Days episode, Lucas dropped by to see Kate and fill her in on EJ’s return to town.
Soon after, Chad showed up as Kate was plotting aloud against Jake and Gabi. He caught her using her compact mirror and saw that the blindness thing was all an act.
EJ made his way into the DiMera mansion living room and suggested that like Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) used to say, it was good to be back. As for Sami, she returned to Lucas and informed him that she’d be returning to Rome with EJ.
Lucas was stunned to learn Sami was there to bid him farewell.
