Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, November 22, reveals that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) discovered Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) necklace while Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) shared a deadly “Plan B” for John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk).
At the Hernandez house on Monday’s Days episode, Gabi got Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) to help zip her dress and clasp her necklace.
As they headed out for a night on the town, Gabi was appalled to see Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) in the kitchen and wondered why Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) hadn’t kicked her to the curb.
Ava pointed out Gabi was wearing the necklace she stole, but Gabi corrected Ava since she simply found it.
Gabi once again implied Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) might’ve dropped it after a hookup with Rafe, which left Ava fuming.
After Gabi and Jake took off for dinner, Ava was apologetic about letting Rafe’s sister get under her skin. She alluded to her old securities and felt bad about Rafe having to keep his distance from Nicole.
Ava thought maybe they should just invite Nicole over to eat with them and try to get past everything, but Rafe angrily asked if she could please stop talking about Nicole.
Rafe was sorry for snapping and covered by acting like he just wanted a boring night that was about the two of them, not Nicole.
Ava got on board with that plan and laughed with Rafe over mundane things until finally blurting out that she loved him.
Rafe didn’t know what to say, so Ava asked if he was overwhelmed or if he didn’t return her feelings.
Although Rafe didn’t say what Ava wanted to hear, he assured her of how much he cared and added that he was committed to only her.
Ava was glad they put all their cards on the table and suggested a toast to putting their mistakes behind them.
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s DOOL episode, Nicole showed up with divorce papers that were ready to be finalized and wanted EJ to take a look at them.
EJ admitted his own divorce papers had arrived the same day – though he couldn’t find Sami to serve them.
Nicole thought it was odd that EJ couldn’t find Sami when he could find someone as slippery as Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), but EJ said the difference was he didn’t want to find Sami.
EJ eventually agreed to look over the terms of Nicole’s divorce on the condition that she had dinner with him first.
At the restaurant, EJ grumbled over Nicole turning down spousal support, but Nicole didn’t think she needed or deserved it.
EJ disagreed since Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) walked out and left Nicole to take care of his niece and her infant son.
By the time EJ was through, he intended to make Nicole look like the lonely victim of an uncaring husband and an opportunistic brute.
Moments later, Gabi walked over with Jake to let EJ know her lawyers were in the process of trying to get her the DiMera mansion back.
Gabi also insisted Gabi Chic would come back stronger than ever, but EJ’s eyes drifted to the necklace she was wearing.
After EJ had a flashback of when he gave Sami that necklace, he angrily asked where Gabi got it.
Gabi shrugged over finding it just before Sami left town, so EJ mulled over the discovery with Nicole once they were alone.
Since the necklace was worth something, EJ thought it was weird that Sami had made no effort to find it. He seemed to think the circumstances of all this were odd.
In the DiMera crypt on Monday’s Days episode, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) pointed out he couldn’t make love to this devilish version of Kristen DiMera (Eileen Davidson) while he was chained up.
Kristen pondered whether John really wanted to or whether this might be an escape attempt, so John suggested she’d just have to trust him.
After Kristen let John out of his restraints, they wound up kissing passionately before John bit her lip.
John scoffed over Kristen actually thinking he’d give up on “Doc” before Kristen threw him against the wall and declared that he’d pay for that.
Meanwhile, Marlena remained chained to the wall as Sami offered updates on her kidnapping over the phone. Sami didn’t know who was responsible, but she insisted Marlena had to come get her.
Marlena then pointed out Sami wasn’t the only one in trouble and revealed her own captivity situation due to the devil’s return to Salem.
Marlena admitted she’d been given a temporary reprieve from being possessed since the devil went into Susan.
Soon after, Kristen took the phone from Marlena and taunted Sami before hanging up. Kristen also tried to convince Marlena that John made love to her, but Marlena didn’t buy it.
Once the devil was back in Marlena’s body, John and Susan found out what was next.
Marlena revealed that it was time for “Plan B,” which meant that both Susan and John were going to die!
Sami was still stuck in a cabin as she once again used the phone she’d stolen from a guard.
Sami decided to call EJ next, but she couldn’t get much out before the phone went dead. EJ was confused, but he told Nicole that he could’ve sworn he heard Sami’s voice.
