Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the next two weeks tease that two cliffhanger bombs will drop before the Olympics preemptions begin, so we’ll see bride swap chaos along with bitter revenge. Let’s talk about the buildup during the week of July 19-23 and discuss what the preemption schedule’s going to look like.
Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) was willing to pay a whopping $1 million just to make Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) suffer the consequences of a one-night drunken lapse in judgment.
On top of that, Sami’s about to break her poor brother’s heart and humiliate Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) in front of all his anniversary party guests.
That’s the kind of behavior that warrants a good dose of soap karma – and Sami’s indeed going to face some once Nicole has a chance to fight back.
Days spoilers say Nicole will be down but not out after Eric dumps her and leaves town again.
Nicole will channel all her sorrow into vengeful rage, so Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) will use her to Lucas Horton’s (Bryan Dattilo) advantage.
One of the big pre-Olympics cliffhangers will involve Nicole giving EJ the letter, which will allow him to read Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) detailed account of Sami sleeping with her ex-husband.
EJ’s naturally going to be furious, but will he explode on Sami right away or make her squirm by pretending everything’s fine – only to shatter her heart at the worst possible moment?
It sounds like Days fans will have to wait until after the Olympics are over to find out!
That brings us to cliffhanger number two, which will involve a wedding that several Salemites frantically try to stop.
For starters, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will encourage Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) to hold off on marrying Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal).
It’ll be legal for Ciara to marry after she gets her first marriage annulled, but that doesn’t mean it’s the right call. Alas, Theo will refuse to postpone his nuptials – though something tells us he’ll wish he had later!
Ciara will also stick to the plan and refuse to let anything get in the way of making Theo her new groom.
After maid-of-honor Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) fails to help Ciara remember her love for Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) will try to talk some sense into the bride next.
That won’t work either, so it seems Claire will just steal that bride spot instead.
To give Ben time to kidnap Ciara and get her away from the church, Claire will don Ciara’s wedding gown and let Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) walk her down the aisle.
It seems the second big cliffhanger will involve Theo discovering Claire under the thick veil and fans seeing Ben with Ciara as his new hostage.
Of course, DOOL fans will have to wait to see the aftermath of this wedding mayhem! These cliffhangers will collide for a dramatic show on Thursday, July 22.
The Friday, July 23 episode will be preempted as the Olympics begin, but Days will pick up right where they left off with a new episode on Monday, August 9.
