Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) could find himself with a very conflicted heart. DOOL fans know Rafe was initially reluctant to let Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) stay at his place, but he certainly doesn’t seem to mind now.
Ava was ready to pack up her stuff and head home now that Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) no longer a threat, but Rafe suggested there was no need to hurry off.
Rafe’s more than willing to let Ava stay until she gets her head right following Charlie’s murder. Of course, this seems like a plot point that accomplishes a few crucial story-related tasks. For starters, it keeps Ava in Rafe’s orbit and will allow them to grow closer.
There’s a nice spark between these two in terms of chemistry, so Days could really work with a “Rava” pairing. We’ve got a fun “opposites attract” situation since Rafe is a detective and Ava’s got mob ties.
Not to mention Ava’s done some terrible things to terrorize multiple people in town.
That makes it intriguing if Rafe can’t stop himself from falling for this bad girl – and that may be where things are headed based on their latest sparkly scenes together.
However, keeping Ava close to Rafe also presents the potential for Rafe to grow increasingly suspicious.
Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) is facing Charlie murder accusations, but she won’t be the only one who lands in hot water. Days of Our Lives spoilers say the story will shift to other suspects in the coming weeks.
At some point, Rafe may see some warning signs that lead him to believe Ava killed her own son and has been hoping Sami would get the blame.
Ava does seem to have settled down lately, but she’s capable of dark and twisted things. Charlie really pushed Ava to her breaking point, so she’ll still be on the suspect list as the whodunit heats up.
We’d say Ava might be too simple of a solution for the murder mystery, but everyone with a motive will have to be looked at in the episodes ahead.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Rafe may wind up torn between his head and his heart. It’s easy to imagine Rafe falling hard for Ava – only to find clues that she’s Charlie’s killer.
Rafe’s head might tell him to follow the trail and arrest Ava, but his heart might tell him to cover it up – at least if he can get Sami off the hook, too.
Rafe covered up Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) murder for Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) back when they believed she was guilty. Days later undid that murder through Stefan’s return, but the point is Rafe chose love over the law at the time.
Rafe may land in a similar scenario with Ava if he ultimately suspects she’s behind Charlie’s fatal gunshot wound.
