Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Sami’s Lying for Allie - Keeps Daughter Out of Prison for Charlie’s Murder?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that it’s time to talk about the angle Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) working and why she’s not giving the real story. DOOL fans know Sami assured Belle Brady (Martha Madison) that she didn’t kill Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) and never touched the gun.

However, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) soon came back with the news that Sami’s fingerprints were all over it – which makes sense considering the flashback Days keeps showing.

We’ve seen smug Sami standing over Charlie’s body with the gun in her hand and heard her saying he got what he deserved.

On March 8, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Belle will rip into Sami for lying – and based on that flashback, Sami indeed lied. This presents some questions, so let’s talk about them and see if we can nail down some answers.

For starters, the reason Sami lied to Belle may be pretty simple. Sami was desperate to get Belle to take the case! If Sami told Belle her fingerprints were on the murder weapon, Belle might not have been willing to represent her.

Belle was already hesitant to do it since she’s still mad at Sami over all the Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) drama, so Sami didn’t need anything else working against her.

Of course, there’s no way the first suspect in this murder mystery is the right one. That means that despite the evidence, Sami is innocent. So why would Sami’s fingerprints be on the murder weapon if she didn’t pull the trigger?

The easiest answer here is that Sami’s protecting somebody – and there’s only one person who Sami would be willing to take the fall for.

Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) was ready to go confront Charlie with a gun that night, so there’s a good chance Sami saw her daughter, heard the gunshot and assumes Allie killed her assaulter.

Naturally, the last thing Sami wants is for Allie to land in prison over something like this. Allie was Charlie’s victim – and as Sami pointed out, she feels he got what he deserved. Not to mention Allie has little Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) to take care of.

If Sami believes Allie is Charlie’s killer, she had plenty of reasons to tamper with the crime scene. We can’t forget that Sami had a towel in her hands when Rafe busted her.

Sami may have been planning to wipe the gun clean when she got caught. It’s possible other fingerprints are on the gun, but they just haven’t been addressed yet.

Regardless, Sami’s fingerprints are obviously the prominent ones and she got caught with Charlie’s dead body. Sami’s the one in hot water right now, but she can’t say too much for fear of incriminating Allie – at least if our hunch is correct.

That brings us to some upcoming info that supports this. Days spoilers say Sami will tell Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) the whole story during the week of March 15-19.

Why will Sami tell Lucas instead of Belle or anyone else? It’s likely because Lucas is Allie’s father and would understand why Sami would want to take the blame for their daughter’s sake.

We should note that it’s doubtful Allie is actually guilty. That seems like a far too easy solution to this whodunit. DOOL fans will eventually see that several characters wound up at Charlie’s apartment building that night – not just Sami, Allie and John Black (Drake Hogestyn).

In other words, Sami may believe she’s protecting Allie, but the truth is she’s probably protecting someone else – albeit inadvertently.
