Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday, June 3 Recap – Ben Saves Claire from Fire – Abe Accuses Paulina - Chanel’s New Bakery

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoiler recap for Thursday, June 3, reveals that Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) faced a gunshot wound while Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) saved Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) from a fire. As for Chanel Dupree (Precious Way), she had big plans for a new bakery.

At the cabin on Thursday’s DOOL episode, Ben opened the door and accidentally knocked the lit lantern on the gasoline – just as Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) had intended. A fire broke out, but Ben battled the flames and was able to beat them out with a blanket.

Ben admitted that he came there to clear his head and just happened to end up in the right place. He filled Claire in on how he’d been seeing Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause) in his head – that it was like his guilty conscience talking to him.

Claire blamed herself for Ben’s guilt since she was the one who kissed him. She reflected on feeling what it was like on the other side of the flames and understood Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) perspective a bit better.

Claire cried about how she wished she could have another chance to tell Ciara how sorry she was and how she didn’t blame Ciara for hating her.

Ben untied Claire and gave her back the locket he found, which contained pictures of Claire and Ciara as little girls. Claire missed when they used to be that close. Suddenly, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) rushed in and got updates on the whole fire situation.

Shawn thanked Ben for saving Claire and reluctantly agreed to let him stick around the crime scene for a while since that’s what he wanted.

On Thursday’s Days episode, Ben stood deep in thought once he was alone. He contemplated signing the divorce papers, but he ultimately couldn’t do it and put the pen down.

Back with Shawn, he took Claire to see Belle Brady (Martha Madison) at Statesville. Belle was relieved to see her daughter and pulled Claire into a tight hug.

In the town square, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) found Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) talking to herself, so she suggested it was a motivational speech.

They started going over the plans for the Horton Town Square, but Paulina wasn’t happy to hear Abe wanted to give free rent to qualified applicants for a year.

Abe felt like Paulina just wanted to make a killing and hope it somehow trickled down. He argued that Paulina had sold her proposition differently. Abe noted that the renters wouldn’t pay, but the city would.

However, Paulina complained about the lowball market rate and felt like it would’ve been nice to be informed before investing her hard-earned money.

Abe thought Paulina should’ve been more “above board” in her motives, which offended Paulina. Things were tense, but Paulina eventually said that they were still in this together despite her disappointment. Abe chuckled over that being a classy way of saying they were stuck with each other.

At Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) apartment, she mentioned Chanel Dupree’s (Precious Way) awkward encounter with naked Eli Grant (Lamon Archey).

Lani didn’t like the fact that Chanel kept making objectifying comments about Eli and how attractive he was. Chanel vowed to knock it off and brought Lani up to speed on her idea for a new business.

Since Chanel baked a lot growing up, she wanted to start a bakery with all the recipes she had and was thinking of calling it “Sweet Bits.” Lani insisted that Chanel would need collateral and that her credit was abysmal.

Chanel had answers for everything, so Lani admitted Chanel always had a great business sense and used to crush her at Monopoly.

Chanel knew she could bake, but she felt this was on a really different scale. She acknowledged that she wasn’t on good terms with Paulina, but Lani felt starting this business might help Chanel make amends.

Lani sensed that Chanel was scared, but Chanel admitted she was excited, too. She wanted to be an independent woman, even if she was afraid she’d screw it up.

Lani was supportive and encouraged Chanel to take Abe some cookies when she went to him with her application. Chanel was going to apply for the initiative Abe had been talking about – and Lani insisted that Chanel didn’t need luck.

Once Chanel caught up with Paulina, there was some lingering tension until they ultimately exchanged apologies. Chanel impressed Abe with her preliminary business proposal and the supplier bids she got in Chicago.

Paulina seemed uneasy over her daughter’s plans, but Chanel pointed out she was going to be independent and thought that was what her mom wanted.

At the police station, Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) took a call from Jan. “How would you like to save Chloe’s life?” Jan asked. She felt like Chloe would be eternally grateful and had a list of demands if Philip wanted to make a deal.

Chloe insisted that Philip needed to bring a suitcase full of money, the Kiriakis jet, a pilot and a lot of gummy bears for the flight. She added that Philip had better not say a word to the cops if he wanted to see that “stupid cow” again.

Philip did what he was told and showed up on the Salem airfield after the arrangements were made. Before Philip would hand over the suitcase, he wanted Jan to let Chloe go.

Jan explained that she’d be taking Chloe with her and sending her on the slow boat back home once she got where she was going.

Philip tried to protest on Thursday’s Days episode, but Chloe told him to do what Jan said and give her the suitcase. Chloe saw the opportunity to go for the gun, which led to a struggle. After the gun went off, Chloe grimaced in pain like she’d been shot.
