Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 31, reveals that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) had a soaked encounter while Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) received a poetry gift. Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) also trashed Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) to Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), so let’s discuss how Tuesday’s DOOL episode went down.
At the pub, Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) took a call from Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), who was stranded at the Pocono Paradise Motel in Pennsylvania.
Chloe explained they had to make an emergency landing due to the plane’s mechanical failure and urged Philip to calm down over her one-night motel stay with Brady.
After Chloe hung up on Tuesday’s Days episode, she opened her door to find a dripping wet Brady standing there. Brady said that when he entered the room he was assigned, he found an elderly couple going at it in bed.
Despite Brady’s apology, the old naked man called him a pervert and dumped a bucket of ice on his head.
Since that room was double-booked and there were no others available, Brady hoped he could stay in Chloe’s room for the night.
Chloe was uncomfortable since Philip wouldn’t like this, so that led to an argument about why she was even with Brady – and how frustrated Chloe was that Brady wouldn’t respect her choice.
As the argument escalated, Chloe decided she didn’t want to fight anymore and just shut it all down so they could get some sleep.
Brady was visibly struggling to get comfortable on the sofa, so Chloe finally told him he could join her in bed – just as long as he stayed on his side.
Meanwhile, Philip complained to Belle Brady (Martha Madison) about the motel situation and worried Brady might’ve paid the pilot to lie about the mechanical failure.
After Philip decided to take a trip to Pennsylvania himself, Belle did her best to talk him out of it. She felt like jealousy would be the downfall of Philip’s relationship again, so he relented and thanked Belle for getting through to him.
Once Belle was gone on Tuesday’s Days episode, Philip decided that Brady would inevitably pull something. He made a call to make sure the jet was ready and revealed he was headed to Pennsylvania after all.
At the DiMera mansion, Johnny made some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches since the chef was off for the night.
That was fine with Chanel, but she shot down Johnny’s idea of hitting the pool without swimsuits since she didn’t want to parade around naked in front of the servants.
Johnny suggested picking up where they left off in his bedroom instead and added that he was prepared this time, so Chanel teased him about being sure of himself.
Meanwhile, Allie ranted to Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) about her brother being a player and how Chanel was only going to get hurt. She stormed out to warn Chanel and left Tripp a bit bewildered in the apartment alone.
Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) showed up to drop off some extra food and use it as an excuse to see her grandson, but she learned Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) was staying elsewhere tonight.
When Ava found out Allie left Tripp on his own, he explained the story of Allie’s twin brother coming back to town and trying to date her best friend.
Ava realized that Tripp feared Allie was jealous and advised him to talk to her about what was really going on. She felt Tripp needed to find out exactly where he stood with Allie since he could become the odd man out.
Back at the DiMera mansion, Allie barged in and warned Chanel that Johnny was just going to use her. She suggested that once Johnny sleeps with a woman, he just moves on to the next one.
Allie added that Johnny used to brag about it, but Johnny argued that was five years ago and that they hadn’t even lived in the same place since then.
Since Johnny was tired of Allie trashing him in front of Chanel, he ordered her to leave. “Sorry, but I’m not going anywhere,” Allie snapped. Chanel decided she should just go and let the twins sort this out, so Johnny asked if Allie was happy now.
The siblings bickered about Allie’s feelings for Chanel, but Allie insisted Chanel was only her friend. Johnny wasn’t sure believed that and didn’t know if Allie did either deep down.
Over with Ben and Ciara, they freaked Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) out briefly be revealing that they were leaving town.
Shawn was relieved to find out Ciara and Ben just meant they were going on their honeymoon in New Orleans.
That was where Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) had their unofficial wedding, so the place has historical significance to Ciara’s family.
Shawn offered up a wedding gift, which was a used copy of the same book of poetry Bo gave Hope. Ciara hinted about giving the same book to their child someday, so Ben awkwardly agreed maybe someday.
Shawn pointed out that he’d bookmarked a poem that Bo had read in New Orleans – and afterward, Ben and Ciara’s voices could be heard reciting that poem while they got on Ciara’s motorcycle and got ready to begin their trip.
