Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, March 16, reveals that Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) was hopeful based on Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) latest scans.
Kayla felt like there was every reason to think Ciara would make a full recovery, but she felt like it was wise for her to receive visitors one by one.
On Tuesday’s DOOL episode, Ciara remained unconscious as Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) prepared to go first. As Ben entered Ciara’s room, she looked rather angelic in a soft glow.
Ciara woke up and smiled before she declared that she knew Ben would come for her. Ben vowed to never leave Ciara’s side again and kissed her passionately.
Suddenly, Ben woke up for real in another room with an oxygen mask on. He realized it was all a dream – and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) confirmed that Ben had passed out from smoke inhalation on the way to see Ciara. Ben was eager to visit his wife, but Kayla wanted him to stay put a little longer.
In the meantime, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) talked to Ciara as she first awoke. Ciara couldn’t remember the accident – and Shawn briefly feared she couldn’t remember him either.
However, Ciara was just messing with Shawn and recalled a story about how he never let her live down cutting her own hair. Shawn laughed at it being a Justin Bieber style, so it was like old times for these siblings.
Over with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), she complained to Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) about Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) always finding some excuse to not let her see Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney).
Nicole insisted they’d go down to she police station since she could talk Rafe into it.
In the interrogation room on Tuesday’s Days episode, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) pushed Sami for the truth about what happened the night Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) died. Sami finally admitted she didn’t kill Charlie and then launched the real story.
Days of Our Lives delivered flashbacks as Sami explained hopping on a plane after she found out Charlie wouldn’t face justice.
From there, Sami wound up at Charlie’s apartment, which was unlocked. Sami remembered feeling fearful once she was inside since it was too quiet and awfully dark. Even so, Sami felt like she wasn’t alone.
Sami remembered how her anger returned – and it was like she wished a gun to appear at her feet. It was right there, but so was Charlie’s dead body with a bullet hole already in it. Sami checked his pulse and then recoiled over having to touch that disgusting animal.
After that, Sami felt she’d been robbed of her revenge chance and all her rage crept up again. She fired a shot at Charlie’s dead body and went to splash water on her face in the bathroom before Rafe showed up. Now Sami’s refusing to tell the truth out of fear that Allie might be the real culprit.
Lucas pointed out there was no proof, so he felt like he should talk to Allie and get her side of the story. If Allie’s innocent, that means Sami’s protecting somebody else. Sami swore Lucas to secrecy as she insisted that together they would protect their daughter, and the worried parents embraced.
When Allie arrived at the Salem PD with Nicole, Rafe offered the news about Ciara being alive. Since Rafe once again suggested it’d take some time before Allie could see Sami, Allie wound up at the hospital. After getting updates on Ciara, Claire and Allie discussed the Charlie murder investigation.
Allie argued that Sami was only in that situation because of her, so Claire wondered what that meant. Claire thought back to when Allie said she could kill Charlie herself. “Did you do it, Allie? Did you kill him?” Claire asked with widened eyes.
Back with Nicole on Tuesday’s Days episode, she pried the truth out of Rafe, who admitted he was protecting Allie. Rafe didn’t want Allie to live with the burden of guilt if Sami really had sought revenge on her daughter’s behalf. Moments later, there was a call about some new evidence that could shift the case away from Sami.
In Ciara’s room again, Ben finally reunited with his sleeping true love. When Ciara opened her eyes again, she was horrified and yelled at the necktie killer to get away from her.
