Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, July 9, teases that Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) will need Theo Carver’s (Cameron Johnson) tech help – and Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) surrender to temptation. Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) will also offer a bedroom distraction to EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), so here’s what’s coming up on Friday’s DOOL episode.
First, Nicole will hope Theo can help her trace Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) call since she recently stole Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) phone. Nicole will pitch the idea to Theo, but she could hit a snag in her plan.
We’ll also see Nicole deal with an annoying Xander run-in, so she won’t be pleased about that.
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) mentioned having a therapy session with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) soon – and he’s never needed one more than he does right now!
Ben will have some messy emotions to work through along with some big news to spill.
Marlena should be taken aback when she finds out Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) is engaged to Theo. She’ll help Ben process how he feels about that, but the truth is Ben doesn’t really even accept it.
Ben’s convinced that Ciara’s going to come around sooner or later.
Marlena may wonder if Ben’s prepared for the possibility that Ciara might actually divorce him and remarry. She’ll know that’s not what Ben wants, but she may fear he’s getting his hopes up too high for a reunion that may not happen.
However, Ben will point out that Ciara had a brief memory flash when they were talking. He’ll feel certain this is only the beginning and will ponder how he can move things along.
Ben will feel like he needs a new plan to make sparks fly again, but Marlena might push Ben to just be patient and hope for the best.
Ciara will meet up with Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) on Friday’s Days episode.
That’ll bring a chance to show off Ciara’s new engagement ring and fill them in on her impending marriage to Theo. Claire and Shawn will both object to Ciara moving on so fast, particularly since she’s not even divorced yet.
Of course, Ciara will argue that Ben’s the only holdup when it comes to her official split. She’ll justify her engagement and insist she’s going to court since Ben is making this difficult.
At the DiMera mansion, Sami will think fast and use her body to distract EJ from the fire she was about to start.
Sami was planning to torch the letter before she got caught, so she’ll have to explain away the matches and get EJ upstairs for more lovemaking.
EJ probably won’t notice the letter and will forget anyway once Sami’s all over him! Sami knows how to keep EJ busy, so she’ll dodge a bullet and return to set that letter on fire later.
Across town, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) will feel like Gwen’s hiding something about Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry). He’ll think Gwen isn’t telling the whole truth when it comes to her connection to the shady doc.
Since Dr. Snyder is dead and there’s an ongoing investigation, it’s easy to see why Jack will be concerned about Gwen’s involvement with him. While Jack ponders the situation, Xander will help Gwen when she gets in over her head.
Gwen will be overwhelmed as she faces another interrogation, so Xander will rush to Gwen’s defense with Eli Grant (Lamon Archey).
Days spoilers say Eli will remain suspicious of Gwen, but Xander will get rid of him for now.
The aftermath will bring some clashing for Gwen and Xander, which will set up some steamy DOOL scenes as well. Xander and Gwen will let themselves surrender to the passion they’re feeling, so things will take an intimate turn.
