Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Wednesday, May 26, tease that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) dropped a witness bomb on Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) while Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) made a security footage discovery.
At the townhouse on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) were surprised when Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) was the one at the door.
Rafe wanted the story of how Lucas and Sami wound up in the DiMera cellar, so Sami made it clear that they were taken down there “separately…like one at a time.”
Rafe insisted he knew what separately meant and pushed for answers about how they got tangled up with Kristen in the first place. Sami pretended to have a tickle in her throat and bought herself a couple extra seconds while she drank her water.
She ultimately claimed that she’d developed some suspicions about “Susan Banks” while Kristen was posing as her.
Sami said she was about to call Rafe when Kristen took her hostage. Lucas gave his side of the story, but Rafe remembered Lucas coming to the police station looking for help finding Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow).
Lucas talked about there being a “wrinkle” and not wanting to betray someone’s confidence, so Rafe came to the conclusion that Kristen had dirt on Sami and Lucas.
However, Sami insisted they didn’t know anything that would help find Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). She pushed Rafe to go grill Xander instead. Rafe felt like Sami and Lucas should try acting a little less guilty the next time someone comes sniffing around.
In Xander’s suite on Wednesday’s Days episode, he demanded $10 million from Nicole or else he vowed to confirm Sami’s suspicions that they slept together. Nicole suggested that she’d deny it, but Xander argued that he had a witness.
Xander reminded Nicole of how she heard a phone ring in his bathroom the morning she came back looking for her wedding ring.
Nicole swore Xander to secrecy regarding their night together while the witness listened, so Nicole wanted to know who this witness was. Xander didn’t reveal that it was Kristen, but he did promise to keep this person’s mouth shut if Nicole gave him the money.
Nicole didn’t have $10 million or even $5 million, so Xander suggested he’d settle for a job at Basic Black.
Since Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) hates Xander even more than Nicole does, Nicole didn’t see that going over well – especially since Xander thought he could replace Chloe.
Nevertheless, Xander warned that Nicole had better figure it out or he was going to take the truth to Sami. He felt confident Sami would run right to Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) with the news that Nicole betrayed him with Xander.
Xander warned that Nicole had 24 hours to get Brady on board. Just as Nicole was about to leave, she opened the door and saw a baffled Rafe standing there.
At the police station on Wednesday’s Days episode, Kristen swore that she didn’t know where the car went, so Brady decided he believed her. Philip cornered Shawn, who lashed out and then apologized.
Shawn admitted to being on edge since Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) had been kidnapped by Jan Spears (Heather Lindell).
Philip was worried about missing Chloe, so he needed Shawn to hook him up with the security footage from the parking lot where the car was last seen.
Once Philip and Shawn examined the footage, they realized Jan forced Claire to get behind the wheel of the vehicle with Chloe in the trunk.
In the stolen car, Jan argued that the noise was probably a squirrel that Claire hit. She refused to let Claire stop at a gas station, but the banging coming from the back continued.
Jan ultimately relented and ordered Claire to pull over, but she warned that she’d shoot Claire in the leg if she tried to get away.
Jan opened the trunk and sarcastically greeted her “old pal, Ghoul Girl.”
Chloe tried to beg for help with the gag in her mouth and was crying hysterically. Jan insisted that Chloe needed to stop all that annoying banging and left her back there while Jan returned to the passenger seat.
After Claire got updates on Chloe being in the trunk, she worried Chloe might suffocate back there. Claire thought Jan could call the cops anonymously and just leave Chloe on the side of the road.
Jan said that Chloe had seen her face and would rat her out. She felt two hostages were better than one and pushed Claire to shut up so she could think.
Back at the Salem PD, Kristen begged Brady to tell her that he still loved her. Brady admitted that he did, but he couldn’t be with Kristen any longer.
Brady felt he had to walk away for the sake of the people he loved, especially Rachel Black (Rosalind and Josephine May).
Kristen frantically tried to convince Brady that they still had a chance as long as he still loved her. She vowed to go back to prison and pay for her crimes. Kristen wanted another chance, but Brady stood his ground and insisted this wasn’t about his feelings for Chloe.
Brady assured Kristen that she was the reason this breakup was happening and left her crying alone.
