Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers preview update for week of April 19-23 teases that some confessions are on the way. Days fans know Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) downplayed his reaction to Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) recent date.
Jake once again assured Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow) that he wasn’t interested in Gabi, but it was obviously a lie.
In the week ahead, Jake will admit to deceiving Kate before. He’ll come clean about being jealous when he saw Gabi with Kate’s son. Based on Kate’s expression, she won’t be happy about this new development at all.
However, Jake may argue that he’s working through that jealousy. He’ll probably try to spin this as best as he can, but Kate will remain on edge about Jake and Gabi’s lingering connection.
Over with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), he’ll decide to get honest as well – both with himself and with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Brady will admit Chloe was right and will open up about having feelings for her, too.
Unfortunately, this isn’t a simple situation for Brady, who shares a child with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and hates to kick her while she’s down. Brady still thinks Kristen is suffering and lonely behind bars, so he may not be sure exactly where his feelings for Chloe fit in all this.
As for John Black (Drake Hogetsyn), he’ll be unsettled following his hypnosis session with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). John remembered Belle Brady’s (Martha Madison) red coat and naturally assumes his daughter shot Charlie Dale (Mike Manning).
“My little girl blew that punk away in cold blood!” John exclaims in DOOL’s extended weekly preview video. John certainly won’t want to reveal this information to the cops and make matters worse for Belle.
It turns out Belle is an innocent woman, so John’s remembering someone else who was wearing Belle’s coat that night – someone who wants Belle to take the fall for Charlie’s murder. Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) is a likely contender here.
At the police station, DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) will order Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) to arrest Belle based on the red button evidence. That may not seem like firm proof to Rafe, but he’ll indeed take Belle into custody and grill her about the night Charlie was killed.
Belle will insist she’s been set up since there’s no way she left that button behind. She’ll argue that it’s impossible since she never physically entered Charlie’s apartment. Belle wasn’t there, so somebody else had to have dropped the button next to Charlie’s corpse.
John will get updates from Belle and decide he believes her, so he’ll work with Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) to clear Belle’s name.
Meanwhile, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chanel Dupree Kiriakis (Precious Way) will reel over the news that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) is as poor as a church mouse!
Nevertheless, Xander will have a plan that could make them both a boatload of money. DOOL viewers can expect Chanel to get on board with a scam Xander wants to run. They’ll try to make it seem like Xander’s a menacing threat who wants $10 million for a divorce to set Chanel free.
Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) will think Xander’s demand is outrageous, but he’ll push her to put her daughter’s well-being first and pay him off.
Back with Kate, she’ll be the next Days character to figure out Kristen’s switch secret. Look for Kate to rip that wig right off Kristen’s head and cause a major confrontation.
Kristen won’t let Kate rat her out, so Kate’s set to become a hostage soon enough. At the hospital, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) will do an ultrasound for Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).
While Gwen mulls over whether she wants to terminate the pregnancy or not, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) will maintain that she must.
“Gwen cannot have your baby; it will destroy us,” Abigail angrily warns Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) in DOOL’s extended weekly preview. Chad will hate his role in the pain this is causing Abigail, but he’ll argue that only Gwen can decide what to do about her pregnancy.
In the end, Gwen will choose to keep the baby and that’ll lead to even more marriage problems. Chad and Abigail’s already fractured relationship will be on the verge of falling apart.
In her hospital room, Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) will tell Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) she wants to leave Salem with him. Since Theo’s prepared to go back to South Africa, Ciara may insist she’d like to go with him as a couple.
Later, Ciara will make it clear to Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) that she’s more then friends with Theo and intends to leave town with him. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben will make a last-ditch effort to force a change of plans, so stay tuned!
