Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that many fans were disappointed after Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) character was revealed as Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) attacker.
The twist certainly wasn’t surprising since Charlie was an easy suspect from day one! Even so, it was crushing to watch Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) open her heart and fall hard for such a manipulative guy.
Charlie begged Claire to believe this was all a misunderstanding, but that was before Claire faced the Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) kidnapping bombshell. That obviously goes a long way toward discrediting Charlie’s story.
Now that Claire knows Charlie had Ava tied up in his apartment, she won’t be able to deny the evidence any longer.
Claire will have to accept that Charlie is a liar who let Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) take the fall for his own crime. Charlie is a rapist and a kidnapper, so it doesn’t get much lower.
Naturally, Claire’s going to question her instincts with men all over again. She’ll feel like she’s broken for believing someone like Charlie could be her soulmate!
Claire will need some time to lick her wounds, but what’s next? Will Claire find love again? There’s always a chance Claire will fall for Tripp again, but he’s proven he doesn’t really know how to put her first. Claire will only be setting herself up for more heartache if she falls for Tripp again.
Likewise, Claire and Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) romance would be doomed from the start. Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) is Ben’s one true love, so he would drop Claire the second Ciara came back into his life.
Since Days spoilers suggest Ciara will indeed return someday, Claire would be destined for more heartbreak with Ben, too.
Since Claire’s been so unlucky in love, is it time for Days of Our Lives writers to do something about that? This Charlie breakup will be particularly brutal since Claire thought she’d found someone who would treat her right and love only her.
Could DOOL put a guy who’s actually like that in Claire’s path next – a genuinely good man who would make Claire his queen?
Charlie and Claire actually became a cute couple during their short-lived romance, at least before Charlie’s guilt was confirmed. Now that DOOL’s blowing them to smithereens, perhaps Claire deserves a do-over with another young hunk.
Should Claire get a fresh start with someone else? Will the show bring in a truly good guy to mend Claire’s broken heart? Some DOOL viewers are rooting for that outcome since the alternatives would be a Tripp reunion or a Ben romance.
Claire should really steer clear from men who have been with Ciara and find her own path forward, so we’ll see how it goes!
