In tonight’s DDWTD, the episode begins with Deon and Karen in the kitchen talking about his agreeing to go to therapy, he says he is doing it to prove to him that he does not have OCD. Karen hopes that Deon gets the much-needed help that he requires. Deon meets with his therapist and says he shouldn’t be there. He tells her that his mother and his wife say he is OCD. He tells her that he has fourteen children, she thinks he is very poised and put together for having that many.

She asks him a lot of questions, and she tells him, that in her professional opinion, she doesn’t think that he is OCD. Deon is thrilled, but he is hating that Karen and GG are not there with him to hear it. In the car, Deon calls Karen and tells her that he doesn’t have OCD. Karen asks him if she got her degree online. Karen says she is going to make an appointment to tell the therapist about his flair-ups.

Deon and Karen sit down for an interview and they talk about Darian’s journey this year, Deon says he can’t even think of her with the opposite sex. All of a sudden, Karen has pain on her left side, then she can’t feel her left side. Production calls 911, medics arrive and they suspect a stroke. They take Karen to the hospital, Deon is not allowed to go with her because of COVID. Deon drives to the hospital anyway and is turned away because of COVID.

GG is watching the kids, Deon returns home. They ask where mommy is, he says she is taking care of business. Eric is there as well, he was helping to watch the kids. Deon says Karen looked like she had a stroke. Her whole right side was paralyzed, they were in the middle of talking. She started crying with no expression, he says it is the scariest thing he has ever seen. Karen is 41, she eats healthy, nothing about this fits. Deon doesn’t want to tell the children anything. GG knows that Deon is frightened, she and Eric hug him.

With Karen being in the hospital, GG decides to do some arts and crafts with the kids to keep them busy. The kids are designing t-shirts.

Darian and GG talk about boys, she says she only wants boys who want her. This makes GG cringe and she wants to have a conversation in more detail. Meanwhile, Deon calls the hospital and they are taking more tests. Deon lost two of his family to strokes and he knows what they look like. He is crying, he says he wants to apologize for everything he has ever done that might be bad, he needs his wife.

Deon gets news from the hospital, Karen is ok. The doctor said Karen did not have a stroke, she had a muscle spasm in her back that has gone on too long untreated and went in her shoulder to her arm. She has to go to a therapist who will massage it out. GG thinks Karen has to slow down and take care of herself, she tells Deon.

The next morning at 6 am, Deon gets the call, they are releasing her. Deon feels blessed that God has answered his prayer that Karen only had a muscle spasm. He is so thankful and relieved, he was really worried and afraid that this was not going to be his reality. He can honestly say that he is not the same man he was twenty-four hours ago. He is thankful and anxious to see her. He is going to hug her first but they have a lot to talk about.

Karen is thrilled to be out of the hospital, but it is a lesson to relax more. Deon tells her that he wants to listen to her idea about moving to South Carolina part-time, this puts things in perspective, he is on board with her.

Karen is happy to be home and hold her babies, this definitely makes her prioritize her thought patterns, she wants to be close to home. She wants her children to know their families.

GG takes her to walk with Darian, she tells her that she is going to visit a friend of hers soon. They sit down on a bench to talk. GG tells her reminds Darian of what she said, she wants a boy who wants her. GG tells her to be concerned about ten years from now, not if a boy likes her.

She doesn’t want her to get pregnant at fifteen as she did. The boy promised her a ride home from school, she didn’t even date the boy who got her pregnant. Darian understands and values GG’s wisdom. Darian says she wants a boy best friend.

Deon decides he wants to take a family photo, they go to a place where all old neon signs are kept. And, Deon has news, they are moving to South Carolina. The photographer’s mind is blown by how many children Deon and Karen have. Eric is on board with their move, now they just have to break it to GG.

Deon tells GG they have an opportunity to invest in a business in Karen’s hometown in South Carolina, they are investigating it. GG says she is not going south. With the scare that Karen had, she would stay put if she were them. GG says she doesn’t do the south. Deon is at a loss for words right now, he cannot imagine going without his mom. GG is worried about Karen and her health, but she is not making that move.

A year from now GG sees herself in better health and maybe, married.

THE END!
