In tonight’s FBI recap, a stock market executive Tim Davis is shot in the head during a public press conference. Jubal announces to the team that they will be taking his case. Scola will give them a run down as he used to works in stocks.
OA and Bell head to speak with activists who witnessed the murder. Bell goes toe to toe to one man who is the CEO of his company. She knows he is upset since Davis made his company stocks plummet. Meanwhile, Scola and Tiffany meet with Davis’ wife to ask about recent events. She mentions one man with who they had an incident within the front of their home. It looks like they have a suspect. They bring him in.
OA and Bell question the suspect while Jubal works with his team to gather street video footage. They spot a man with a rifle. The team ascends to his home within minutes after identifying him. His wife is there. She says her husband left angry the night before. They look through his computer and find the man’s next target – their first suspect. Scola and Tiffany head there. Within minutes, they are involved in an active shooting but manage to take the man down and into custody.
Back at the office, they see the man with who Bell got into an argument. He is inciting violence through chat rooms and more. Scola leaves angry and visits the man, Nathan. He threatens to get him on something. As he heads to leave he is struck with a gun.
Tiffany arrives to see Scola with police and medics. She understands. She would have had his back. Scola tries to identify the man in a mask who hit him when he learns Nathan was abducted by the man in the mask. Word is sent to Jubal and his team who get back to work.
Later, a video of Nathan and his abductor is posted online. He hits Nathan and outs him for his lies with stocks and when it comes to curing cancer. Scola is reprimanded for his actions. After, he heads to Nathan’s company with Tiffany to ask some of his employees about what they might know. They learn of clinical trials that went wrong. They head to talk to those with motives investigators in the trials.
They learn about a stock trader named Nick who has it out for Nathan. He hasn’t been to work in a few days and he hasn’t been home. They need to track him down. They learn from a thief that Nick is on foot after they spot his range rover. He is hiding out in a silo and he must have Nathan.
The team heads into the silo. Scola and Tiffany try to get Nathan’s manager to help. She refuses, thinking only of herself and not Nathan’s life. Meanwhile, Nick demands to see the scientists working for Nathan. The team uses one of their own to fool Nick. He gets angry when he learns the cancer results are all talk. OA comes out of nowhere and tackles Nick.
Back at headquarters, Jubal asks Nathan secretly if he really can help someone with leukemia. He asks because his child is sick. Nathan tells him yes it works. Scola and Tiffany talk after. She is glad he left trading when he did. He admits he made a lot of money though. She is glad he has shared this with him.
