General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will be heartbroken over Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) new marriage. He’ll soon have Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) for a wife, so that’ll complicate Jason and Britt’s plans for a future together.
GH fans can expect Jason to put his own romantic desires aside and focus on what’s best for the Corinthos organization – or at least what he feels is best along with Carly.
Jason and Carly won’t take this decision lightly, but they’ll ultimately agree marriage is for the best. It’ll send a huge message to the Corinthos clan’s enemies and prove they’re a team in every way.
Of course, this marriage will just be on paper – at least for now. Anything can happen since this is a soap, but Jason will enter this union knowing it’s a strategic move.
Jason would much rather have a future with Britt and may admit that when he’s forced to break this shocking news.
Britt is poised to suffer some heartache when Jason reveals his intentions. Jason was ready to explore his feelings for Britt, which she obviously reciprocates.
This was supposed to be Jason and Britt’s opportunity for a fresh start, but Jason will have to put his job first.
Jason will be keeping Carly safe along with the rest of the family and preserving Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) mob legacy by protecting his power. Britt should understand all that, but that won’t make it any easier to watch Jason marry another woman.
General Hospital viewers know Britt has already faced some tough circumstances lately since she found out she has the Huntington’s marker. This will feel like yet another difficult and unfair blow!
There’s always a chance Jason and Britt could sneak around together down the road, but Jason will be committed to this marriage initially.
Jason will need to sell the act to all the Corinthos organization’s enemies, so this should pump the brakes on his romance with Britt for a while.
