General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) may fall for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) after the baby’s homecoming. Will they form a real couple that’s doomed by this fake mom’s lie? There have certainly been some signs that Brook Lynn is softening toward Valentin more and more.
Valentin still drives Brook Lynn crazy sometimes, but she knows he respects her and wants to offer protection. Brook Lynn has repeatedly defended Valentin to members of the Quartermaine clan as well as Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).
Brook Lynn didn’t want Valentin lumped into the same category as a menace like Peter August (Wes Ramsey)!
The latest clue that Brook Lynn and Valentin might become an actual couple came in the Tuesday, May 18 episode. Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) flipped out over her unexpected encounter with Valentin in the guest wing. That led Olivia to ask if Brook Lynn and Valentin were a couple now.
Brook Lynn had an intriguing response as she denied it and then thought for a moment. “Wait, what if we were?!” Brook Lynn asked – almost offended that Olivia would be so outraged about the idea.
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) quickly pointed out that Valentin and Brook Lynn weren’t an item as he tried to steer the conversation in another direction.
However, we’re entitled to speculate on Valentin and Brook Lynn becoming a couple since Brook Lynn did the same thing. That “what if we were” comment seems telling in some ways.
If Brook Lynn actually manages to pull off her part in this plot and can pretend Maxie’s baby is her own, GH writers will want to throw in some extra drama.
Brook Lynn will no doubt get attached to Baby Lou while she cares for her – and the same goes for Papa Valentin. Since Brook Lynn already seems to be dealing with growing feelings, there could be trouble once she sees Valentin in doting daddy mode.
This could lead to Brook Lynn falling in love with Valentin despite her best efforts to stop herself.
Brook Lynn and Valentin had a nice spark back when they hooked up, so Valentin may find himself battling growing feelings, too. It’d be easy for General Hospital to push Valentin and Brook Lynn together through what Valentin assumes is his daughter.
The trouble is Brook Lynn will have to blindside Valentin when the time comes to give Baby Lou back!
