General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) mentioned something recently that’s become quite important with him in police custody. Jason talked to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about his upcoming meeting with the five families.
It’s crucial for Jason to attend – and he pointed out he was the only option.
Jason’s going to have to figure out a solution if Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) can’t work her legal magic in time. Now that Jason’s been arrested, Diane has warned him that she may not be able to get him out on bail.
It looks like Jason will be stuck in jail for a while, which means somebody else will indeed have to go in his place.
Naturally, Carly – Ms. Mob Boss herself – will be more than willing to step up for Jason on this. Carly has a habit of thinking she can handle things, even when she’s in over her head. That could certainly be the case here, but Carly will be brimming with confidence anyway.
Jason’s arrest can only mean bad news at this point in the story. Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) organization is at a critical juncture right now due to Sonny’s presumed death. The whole point of moving forward with a funeral so quickly was to make sure it seemed like Jason was in charge.
Jason felt it was necessary to show they weren’t waiting around on Sonny to return and that Jason would be the leader from then on.
GH spoilers say Sonny’s organization is suddenly without a leader once again since Jason’s in lockup – and he’s potentially facing a prison sentence for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder.
This is pretty much the last thing Jason needs at the moment, but that’s just life in Port Charles!
General Hospital spoilers hint that Carly will insist on going to the five families’ meeting whether Jason likes it or not. As the wife Sonny left behind, Carly will want to be there when Sonny and Jason can’t.
We should note that Carly also has a meeting with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) coming up, which she’ll later fill Jason in on. It’s possible Cyrus will resort to some trickery to get Carly alone.
It could be that Carly will get duped into thinking she’s attending the five families’ meeting – only to walk into a one-on-one confrontation trap instead.
Then again, maybe Cyrus will simply force a second meeting while Jason’s in custody. Cyrus expects the charges against Jason to stick, so he may want to have a little chat with Carly and intimidate her since she’s running the Corinthos mob show now.
