General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) may have offered a big hint about where her storyline will ultimately end up. GH fans know Brook Lynn pulled a trick on Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), who was stunned to realize Brook Lynn was pregnant.
As Chase tried to wrap his head around Brook Lynn’s baby bump, she duped him into thinking that her baby needed a father. Brook Lynn tried to act like she wanted Chase to step up and fill that role.
Of course, it turned into a funny moment when Brook Lynn laughed over Chase getting fooled. She was just kidding and doesn’t intend to keep Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) out of her child’s life.
Brook Lynn is simply using this baby to hopefully score ELQ control and then successfully co-parent with Valentin.
Unfortunately, General Hospital spoilers suggest this situation could end in disaster. Brook Lynn is far too confident that things will work out the way she wants. She’s not listening to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) attempts to sound the alarm, so she may come to regret it.
Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) advice about Valentin dealing with his “baby mama” amicably seems like another clue about looming conflict. It could mean Brook Lynn and Valentin will wind up in a bitter battle over this child.
There could be quite a custody war, which could indeed leave Brook Lynn with a father dilemma. When Michael went up against Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) advised Michael that it’d be helpful to offer a suitable mother replacement.
That led to Michael marrying Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) to lock in his best custody chances.
Could Brook Lynn do something similar? When this seemingly inevitable custody battle erupts, Brook Lynn might need Chase to step up as a family for real! Chase is a distinguished, dependable detective who’s great with kids.
Considering Valentin’s track record, Chase would likely look like a better father candidate if this turns into a courtroom war.
It might be fun if Chase marries Brook Lynn and agrees to take on that stepdad role. We might see the Michael and Willow situation all over again! Chase’s arrangement with Brook Lynn could turn into a genuine marriage based on mutual feelings.
