General Hospital Spoilers: GH April Preview – Couple Shakeups, Jail Time, Creepy Threats and Revenge Plots

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that some shockers are in store as April gets underway. The ABC soap will deliver some gripping moments as several storylines head in new directions. Let’s take a look at an April preview and nail down how the action’s going to heat up.

First, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will follow through with her plan to accept responsibility for her mistakes. Alexis’ guilty plea will lead to her sentencing day, which Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will be on hand for.

This will be Alexis’ effort to put herself on a sober path and come out stronger on the other side.

However, the attempted murder charges Alexis is facing are obviously quite serious. General Hospital spoilers say Dante and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will make a last-ditch effort to change Alexis’ mind.

Sam and Dante will hope they can convince Alexis to enter a not guilty plea instead, but Alexis will feel like pleading guilty is the first step toward rebuilding her life.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will support Alexis’ efforts to turn her life around through this move. He’ll recognize that it might be the only thing that can put Alexis on the path to sobriety.

Even so, Alexis will be terrified about the sentence she’ll face and the new world she’ll have to adjust to behind bars.

Alexis will indeed wind up doing jail time at Pentonville, so it’ll be interesting to see how she handles that. Over with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), she’ll do her best to manipulate Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and will get some help from Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) on a new plot.

Maxie will realize she has to basically dangle this baby in front of Peter to keep him vulnerable. It could lead to some dangerous situations for Maxie moving forward, but she’ll hope she can be the one to bring Peter’s comeuppance.

However, we’ll also see Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) make some big decisions regarding Peter and his fate. Anna will become determined to neutralize Peter no matter what, so could that mean she’ll be the one to kill Peter or at least put him in prison?

Regardless, Anna will land in some tight spots and will remain tied to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) through some legal drama that’s brewing.

In the meantime, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will use her unborn child to manipulate Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and hopefully regain control of ELQ. You can bet there’ll be some challenges that could build to quite a feud for these co-parents.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will be torn between her vengeful head and her good heart. Part of Nina will love the opportunity to get some secret payback on Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

By keeping Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) survival under wraps, Nina will feel a sense of satisfaction on some level.

Even so, Nina isn’t a bad person at her core – and that means she’ll battle guilt over what she’s doing, too. Look for Nina to grow closer to “Mike” and see that he’s turned into a very different person with the chance at a good life away from the mob.

Nina should use that to justify her secret once the guilt starts to take a toll.

Back in Port Charles, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will realize he may have to cut a deal with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) if he wants his freedom.

Cyrus will want Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) back in exchange for Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) recanting her testimony, but Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will find an ally who could either help or make a mess of things!

Jason will find an ally as well – someone surprising who’s connected to his past. That’ll probably be Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews), so perhaps he can help Jason as Cyrus’ threat grows.

As for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), she’ll cope with her grief over Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) death by helping someone else in need. Liz will also find someone special to lean on, so a new romance could be on the horizon.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) will have to figure out if divorce comes next.

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will be eager to find out since her own feelings for Curtis are clearly growing.

Over with Jordan, GH spoilers hint that her connection to Taggert will grow as well. It sounds like some great couple shakeups are brewing!

Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will plan her “real” wedding to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), which will really be a vow renewal. Unfortunately, there’ll be more creepy gifts and messages as the big day gets closer.

Those presents will become incredibly dark and leave this couple concerned, so Ava and Nikolas will resolve to figure out who the sender is.

Back with Sam, her friendship with Dante will be put to the test in some surprising ways. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will face a test of her own as Cyrus seeks a true sibling relationship with her.

Although Laura won’t be interested in treating Cyrus like a real brother, she’ll determine that she might have to play along to keep the peace in Port Charles.
