General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) may uncover Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) fake “baby mama” secret and get sworn to secrecy. There’s certainly the potential for Chase to face this bombshell now that he’ll be living at the Quartermaine mansion.
The more people there are around, the more opportunities there’ll be to get caught. Brook Lynn’s whole pregnancy has been one giant scam, but her motives have gotten complex.
GH fans know Brook Lynn started out scheming for ELQ shares – and she certainly still wants those.
However, Brook Lynn now has a reason to keep deceiving Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), even if he signs over the shares as promised.
Now that Brook Lynn has agreed to help Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) keep Baby Lou safe, she’s seemingly locked into acting like the doting mom to Louise for a while.
If Chase finds out this secret – perhaps through eavesdropping or through Brook Lynn’s eventual confession – it could put him in a tight spot.
Chase would certainly understand the desire to protect an innocent child, but he might battle concerns about the daddy deception.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is working hard to help Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) keep Chase alive, so that’s something Chase may find out down the road as well.
Regardless, Chase knows what it’s like to be lied to about family connections. Chase may find himself feeling sorry for Valentin since the rug will ultimately be pulled out from underneath him.
Valentin will inevitably get attached to Baby Lou since he’ll assume she’s his own daughter. Chase might push Brook Lynn to come clean to Valentin and trust that he’ll understand why they have to keep Baby Louise safe as well.
It could bring some clashing if Brook Lynn stands firmly against more secret spillage and urges Chase to keep his mouth shut.
Whatever the case, GH writers no doubt have some good reasons behind Chase’s Quartermaine mansion move.
In addition to complicating things with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Chase may complicate his bond with Brook Lynn as well. Chase might become a confidant and end up struggling over the truth about Baby Louise.
Chase and Brook Lynn seem destined for a romantic future eventually, so having Chase figure out Brook Lynn’s game might be a step toward that.
