General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will make a shocking confession during Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) prison visit, which will reveal another villain was behind the murder attempt. Let’s talk about Laura’s upcoming move and the bombshell she’ll face once she confronts Cyrus.
GH fans know Laura was eager to get out of that safe house and get back to Port Charles where she belongs.
The hitwoman who showed up to kill Laura and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) was thwarted, so Laura decided they were safe now.
Laura argued that Cyrus was too isolated and underfunded to send more than one assassin, so she was hopeful about the nightmare being over.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Laura’s willing to just let what happened slide. Laura’s been in hiding for months because of Cyrus’ lethal threat, so she’ll want to pay him a visit behind bars and let him know he failed.
This will be Laura’s chance to stand up to Cyrus and even gloat a little over averting disaster.
However, this prison visit will come with a revelation that Laura wasn’t expecting. Cyrus will do an about-face when it comes to wanting his siblings dead.
It looks like Cyrus will be remorseful for ordering the original hit since he truly values family at his core.
Cyrus may never have a positive bond with Laura, but she’s still his sister and Martin is still his brother.
There’ll be part of Cyrus that has affection for his siblings, so he’ll explain that he’s done some soul-searching and no longer wants Laura or Martin dead.
In fact, it seems Cyrus called off the other assassin. That hitwoman spoke with a mysterious boss over the phone, but it apparently wasn’t Cyrus.
The hitwoman was reporting to someone else – meaning there’s still someone out there who wants Laura and Martin dead.
Cyrus will stun Laura with this news and push her to be careful since this threat could still be lurking around every corner. Laura knows Cyrus well enough to realize when he’s telling the truth and should believe him on this.
That means Laura will have to figure out the new baddie who’s out to get her as well as Martin.
There’s a good chance that villain is Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), so Laura and Martin could be walking into serious trouble once they’re back in Port Charles!
