General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, August 13, tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will seek Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) blessing to marry Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) while Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) delivers some Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham) news. Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) party will also begin, so let’s discuss all the action.
For starters, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) will wonder if Shawn Butler (Briana Nicole Henry) is sure he wants to get caught up in the middle of all this Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) drama.
Naomi is dead, so there’s the potential for more danger and crime to be involved.
Jordan will feel like Shawn might be taking too many risks for someone who just got out of prison.
Jordan will urge Shawn to concentrate on his future and spend time with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), but Shawn will be determined to find out who shot Hayden and solve the mystery surrounding her disappearance.
In the meantime, Dante will give Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) updates on a case, so that should involve Naomi’s death and what the cops have figured out so far.
Things will eventually take a flirty turn as Sam and Dante decide to have a drink together, so they’ll end up sharing some romantic moments by the pool.
This will set the stage for Sam to receive an unknown call and answer it to hear Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) voice once Monday rolls around.
Until then, Spencer will get the party started at Wyndemere on the Friday, August 13 episode. Spencer will wonder if all his friends are ready for some “epic misbehavior.”
Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will all attend this doomed bash, which Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) intends to teach his son a lesson at.
This shindig is a ticking time bomb that’s sure to explode – much like Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) secret in Nixon Falls.
Nina seems keen on living in the moment and enjoying whatever this is with Sonny for as long as she can. Sonny, on the other hand, will suggest making long-term plans and won’t see why they shouldn’t plan a solid future.
By the end of this conversation, “Mike” will get Nina thinking that maybe they could indeed build a life together.
Back in Port Charles, Carly will continue to fantasize that Sonny’s in the kitchen with her. Carly will admit she didn’t know if recent developments had kept Sonny away.
This is all in Carly’s head, but she’ll still feel guilty over her impending marriage and wonder if Sonny views it as a betrayal.
This fantasy version of Sonny may assure Carly that he knows better than anyone how the mob works and how you have to do what you have to do.
It seems Carly will be seeking Sonny’s blessing to marry Jason in a way, so we’ll see if she feels at peace with her decision.
At GH, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will warn Jason to “do the right thing and end this before someone gets hurt.”
As Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) watches nearby, Jason may insist protecting Carly, Josslyn and the rest of the family is his priority.
Jason may push Jax to accept that Carly and her children are safer with him in the picture, but Jax will remain fearful about the mob mayhem having terrible consequences for Joss.
