General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, August 20, tease that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will forbid Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) from living together. It looks like Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will also hit on Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has a guilty outburst.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will seem agitated as she welcomes someone’s input.
This could relate to the offer Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) intends to make Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) or perhaps Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) situation since Brook Lynn will grow suspicious soon.
Speaking of Chase, he’ll get reassurance from Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) that nothing has changed.
Willow may insist she’s going to stay right by Chase’s side and help him through this crisis, but he knows things aren’t as they seem.
Chase won’t like feeling like an obligation, but he’ll still manage to share a bittersweet scene with Willow as he thinks about what they once shared.
We should see Chase show Willow his recovery progress within the next episode or two, so the end is near for their marriage.
In the meantime, Anna will suspect she’s being hit on at the Metro Court pool.
It appears Martin may try to get a reaction out of Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), who won’t approve of anything romantic happening between Anna and his attorney.
“You’re not getting ideas about Anna Devane, are you?” Valentin asks in Friday’s preview video.
Martin might acknowledge his flirting and push Valentin to get honest about his own feelings for Anna.
Maybe Martin will feel like Valentin needs to work a bit harder and make something happen here.
As for Laura, she’ll put her foot down when it comes to Spencer and his girlfriend’s living arrangement.
Spencer will want Esme to move in with him, but he’ll face resistance from his grandmother.
“There is no way that you and Esme are going to live together,” Laura insists in Friday’s preview clip.
Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) will be on hand for this conversation, so we’ll see what he has to say about the situation.
Elsewhere, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) will pretend she’s unbothered by the arrival of Spencer’s girlfriend from France.
Trina give Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) updates on meeting Esme and will act like it’s no big deal, but Joss will sense that her friend is actually in a lot of pain.
Over with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), she’ll fill Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) on the September 17 wedding date she just set with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
However, GH spoilers say Michael will seem awfully distracted during this conversation.
Carly will wonder if there’s something Michael wants to tell her – namely about his relationship with Willow since she knows their feelings run deeper than they’re letting on.
Michael may choose to be honest and get a few things off his chest since Carly can be pretty relentless.
In Nixon Falls, Nina will sit in front of a trunk with Sonny Corinthos (Laura Wright) – perhaps collecting photos or other trinkets that could be displayed for Lenny Caulfield’s (Rif Hutton) memorial.
This could get Nina thinking about Carly and her family’s grief, so her guilt may come back in full force.
“This is wrong,” Nina tearfully blurts out in Friday’s preview video. Sonny may assume Nina means the fact that Lenny’s gone too soon, but he’ll think their friend left a valuable lesson behind.
“Mike” will be all about making the most of every moment he’s alive – and he’ll want Nina to be part of the picture.
