General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, September 24, teases that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will face Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) fierce warning while Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) tries a strategy shift. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will also make a mistake that’ll ultimately lead to her punishment, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
At the boxing gym, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will try to blow past Esme when she sees her. Joss won’t be interested in another round of tension, but Esme will block her path and suggest maybe they could try friendship.
Josslyn may doubt that Esme’s even capable of being someone’s friend.
Josslyn doesn’t trust Esme at all, but you know what they say about keeping your friends close and your enemies closer! Josslyn might pretend to give Esme a chance just to keep an eye on her, but she won’t buy this act she’s trying to pull.
Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) doesn’t buy Esme’s act either and has figured out that she played a role in the stalker drama.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) is the other half of Esme’s alliance, but Trina and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) will be coming for both of them eventually.
However, Cam and Trina will disagree on how to go about trapping the schemers. When Trina suggests bringing Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) in on this, Cameron just won’t think it’s the right call.
Cameron may argue that Portia might alert Ava Jerome (Maura West) or call too much attention before they can score hard evidence.
Next, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will be grateful for some father-son moments with Spencer.
They’ll discuss Esme and how she can be a bit particular, but Spencer will apparently downplay how spoiled she is and act like Esme’s content anywhere.
Of course, Spencer will continue to deal with guilt since he drove Ava out of Nikolas’ life.
It looks like Spencer may come close to confessing, but Esme may pop up and rein him in at the last second. She certainly doesn’t want Spencer to blow this after they’ve come so far.
In the cemetery, Sonny will rip into Nina for keeping him from his family and letting him fall for her as “Mike.”
Nina will be apologetic about how she handled the situation, but Sonny will warn that he can’t forget this betrayal. He certainly won’t be willing to forgive it anytime soon either!
Meanwhile, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will express uncertainty over this new chapter, but Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) may think it’s pretty simple.
Carly belongs with Sonny as far as Jason’s concerned, so he may think they both have to remember that.
Although Carly is unbelievably grateful to have Sonny back in her life, she can’t help but feel another sense of loss.
Carly was prepared for a new beginning with Jason – and he felt the same way. It’ll be tough to let that love shift back to something platonic, but Jason and Carly will hope for a sense of normalcy in time.
Across town, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will offer updates to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), so he’ll hear how Nina asked Liesl for help with Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
Scott, Maxie and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will all be deeply concerned about Liesl since the plan went horribly wrong.
Elsewhere, Liesl will push Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) buttons.
Victor may toss some threats around to keep Liesl in line, but she’ll refuse to play games when it comes to the people she loves.
If Victor dares to go after them or they get hurt by association, Obrecht will intend to make Victor pay.
Too bad Liesl isn’t in the position to do much of anything as long as she’s locked up!
Unfortunately, Liesl’s about to face a change of venue – and it won’t be a pleasant one.
There’s a good chance Liesl will make an escape attempt that fails miserably, so that may be why she lands in Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) cell during the week of September 27-October 1.
