General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, August 30 Recap – Drew’s Creighton-Clark Connection – Nina Stops Sonny’s Peter Attack

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, August 30, reveals that a discovery showed Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) flight was connected to Creighton-Clark – and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) stopped Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) attack on Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

In Nixon Falls on Monday’s GH episode, Nina found out what town she should send Peter to in St. Lucia. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) was adamant that the world would be a better place without Peter in it.

Inside The Tan-O, Sonny demanded to know if Peter knew who he was. Peter said that as a matter of fact he did – though he only insisted he knew the kind of man Nina was drawn to and thought “Mike” was her latest charity case.

That riled Sonny up enough to grab a baseball bat and angrily move forward Peter, but Nina broke things up once she came in. Nina whisked Peter outside to talk about the St. Lucia lead, which Peter struggled to buy somewhat.

However, Nina did a good job of selling it and assured Peter that she wouldn’t dream of double-crossing him since she knew what he was capable of.

Afterward, Nina reconvened with Sonny and insisted Peter would be gone soon. Sonny wanted to have dinner with Nina as their first official date, so Nina hugged him and let herself believe that maybe things would be OK now.

Back in Port Charles, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) made the case for why Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) should support him staying as ELQ’s CEO – that is if Austin indeed got a vote.

After Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) overheard Liesl talking about her romantic getaway plans, she tracked Scott down and slapped him since she wasn’t on board with the relationship.

Austin eventually approached Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), who was enjoying a visit with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom).

After Austin expressed the desire to be friends, Maxie awkwardly explained that although she was grateful for the doc’s help bringing Louise into the world, he was also a painful reminder of losing her.

Austin understood and apologized before leaving Maxie be. Afterward, Brook Lynn realized Austin was “so into” Maxie and seemed to think she could use that to her advantage.

At Spring Ridge, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was playing checkers with Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) when Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) arrived.

After Sam offered updates on Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) phone call, she received word from Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that there was something in the WSB file she needed to see.

Once Alexis was alone with Shawn again, she pitched the idea of helping him with his investigation into Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) shooting and her murdered mom drama.

Down on the pier, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) showed up to meet Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry). Jordan explained that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) had been making threats and wondered who was carrying out his orders.

Jason didn’t know, but Jordan intended to get the prison phone records and see who Cyrus had been talking to.

At the Metro Court, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) spoke with Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto), who was planning to send problematic Joey Novak out of the country.

Carly also had a conversation with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), which quickly turned tense.

Gladys wound up approaching Vincent afterward to talk about how tight she used to be with Sonny and rant about Carly having no class. As for Jason, he found Carly to offer a warning about Cyrus causing more trouble.

Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) also found out Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) wasn’t planning to attend the wedding, but she made it clear that she didn’t expect him to avoid his family. That was different than the mob in Sasha’s eyes.

Meanwhile, Sam joined Dante and Anna as they discussed a chartered flight that Drew had been on. There was another no-name passenger involved, and the corporation that paid for the seat seemed familiar to everyone at the table.

Anna, Dante and Sam eventually realized there was a connection to Creighton-Clark, where Drew was previously held prisoner and a facility used several times by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

Finally, Liesl marveled over the private jet she got on with Scott before they tried to sip Champagne.

The bumpy flight made that difficult – and suddenly, Scott and Liesl flew out of their chairs as the plane took an apparent nosedive in the dark.

General Hospital spoilers say some shockers are still to come in Scott and Obrecht’s storyline, so keep watching!
