General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, August 9, tease that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will consider getting revenge on Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) once Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) reveals his new plan. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will also get a strange message that brings a mystery, so here’s what viewers can look forward to.
Sam just called Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) to tell him Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham) is back in town, but they’ll soon discuss this new development in person. A cryptic message will also arrive for Sam, so that could be from Naomi if she wants a meeting.
“If she wanted to talk to us, why not say so?” Shawn asks Sam in Monday’s preview video.
They need to find out what kind of angle Naomi’s working, so Shawn will find out where Naomi’s staying and hope they can score more information.
At GH, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will approach Austin and wonder if they’re about to get rich or what!
Scott will be ready to move things along when it comes to getting what Austin’s owed from the Quartermaines, but there’ll be concerns about this being a long shot.
Austin will think he has a way to turn that long shot into a sure thing, but he’ll need Chase’s help to pull it off.
Since Chase is staying at the Quartermaine mansion, Austin will view him as a potential ticket into Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) old office. He’ll believe there are documents inside that prove he has a claim to the Quartermaine fortune.
Although Chase will want to just bow out of his marriage gracefully, Austin will push Chase to keep playing the part of a doting husband for a while. He’ll give Chase a nudge toward revenge since helping Austin win would mean helping Michael lose.
Meanwhile, Willow Chase (Katelyn MacMullen) will make a decision, so she’ll most likely determine that it’s time to tell Chase the truth.
Later, Chase will smugly insist there’s nowhere he’d rather be – seemingly after deciding to go along with Austin’s vengeful idea.
Now Chase will just have to guilt-trip Willow into staying silent about her love for Michael so that he can keep up the ruse.
As for Michael, his behavior will put Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) on high alert.
Brook Lynn has a knack for reading people and may realize Michael’s doing more than just pining for Willow these days.
If Brook Lynn puts it together that Michael slept with Willow, she may warn that the deception has to end. Brook Lynn might even wind up spilling the beans to Chase eventually – only to find out he already knows!
By the Metro Court pool, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) will still be down in the dumps, but she won’t think there’s anything she can do about Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) cheating past or who she chooses to date now.
Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will have something he thinks will cheer Trina up, so that might involve some details he’s nailed down regarding the upcoming party at Wyndemere.
At Spring Ridge, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will tell Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) that he can panic now.
They just found the letter from Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) to Spencer, which was returned to the facility unopened.
Nikolas will worry that Ryan and Spencer are in cahoots, so he’ll resolve to confront his son and demand the truth. As other GH news and updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted.
