General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, December 27 Recap – Carly Betrayed by Nina & Sonny’s Love – Drew’s Job Offer Traps Marshall

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, December 27, reveals that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) felt betrayed by Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) love while Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) came up with a job offer trap for Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett).

Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) had a grueling morning yoga session with Drew and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) before bumping into Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).

After Chase offered updates on “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (London and Jett Prinzo-Berendt), he acknowledged Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) being moody lately.

Maxie had her own yoga session with Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), so couldn’t stop thinking about her hot night with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).

After Lucy blurted out Martin’s name during her meditation, she was forced to bring Maxie up to speed on the new man in her life.

Meanwhile, Brook Lynn dreamed Chase was standing over her bed looking all steamy.

Chase asked if this was hot enough for Brook Lynn and moved to get in bed with her, but BLQ woke up startled.

Downstairs, Brook Lynn complained to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) about her sleepless night, but Ned wanted to talk about her mess of a life.

Ned admitted to not being a great role model, but he felt it was important for Brook Lynn to get out in front of this “Bailey” situation so that Chase couldn’t use it against her like Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

Chase overheard Ned’s comment, so Brook Lynn reassured him that they weren’t comparing him to someone like Valentin.

Ned just felt it was a good idea to work out a legal agreement regarding “Bailey” – and after Ned was gone, Chase pointed out that Brook Lynn’s father was being smart.

Chase suggested that if he was bringing in money to pay a lawyer and if “Bailey” was actually his daughter, nailing down an agreement would be a good thing. He also suggested he was willing to give Brook Lynn all the space she needed.

At GH, Marshall brought Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) a bouquet of flowers and had a proposition for her.

Marshall wanted Epiphany to join his band as a vocalist since they made such beautiful music together.

Epiphany admitted to initially assuming Marshall was asking her out on a date.

Marshall assured Epiphany that he’d be lucky to date a woman like her, but he wasn’t very good at dating and didn’t really do that sort of thing anymore.

Next, Drew and Curtis agreed it was time to start looking at the person Marshall used to be before he came to Port Charles.

Since there was no trace of Marshall online, Curtis thought maybe everything had been wiped clean or Marshall had been living another life entirely.

Drew suggested making sure a job offer landed in Marshall’s past that was too good to resist. That way Marshall might offer a social security number or some other info they could trace.

Whether that info was real or fake, Drew thought it’d be a nice start. He hinted about music being something his family knew well and figured he could come up with the right job offer to pass along.

At the Metro Court, Valentin talked to Martin about looking into the Cassadine will situation. He alluded to going after the Cassadine fortune now that he was a true Cassadine again and perhaps turning this into a happy ending.

When Valentin found out about Martin’s newfound interest in Lucy, he didn’t approve.

Due to a conflict of interest involving Deception, Valentin suggested Martin had to decide whether he wanted to be his lawyer or Lucy’s lover.

As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), she cornered Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and made it clear that she’d be his shadow now that he was back in Port Charles.

Anna vowed to watch Victor closely and deal with him if need be. Victor certainly wasn’t shaking in his boots considering how many times Anna let Peter August (Wes Ramsey) get the upper hand!

At Kelly’s, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) gushed over the upcoming cabin trip and wanted to enjoy some alone time with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) while they were there.

When Laura Collins (Genie Francis) joined them, Esme wound up calling her “Grandmother” – though the mayor insisted that “Laura” would be fine.

Spencer figured that since Christmas was over, Laura was going to blast him for his mistakes.

Esme piped up to take some of the heat off Spencer, but Laura wasn’t there to rip into her grandson.

Even so, Laura questioned whether Spencer had really learned his lesson now that he was getting caught up in Victor’s web.

Esme eventually pulled Laura into an awkward embrace and suggested she’d keep Spencer on track along with the rest of his friends.

In court, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shiner) got in trouble for nearly badgering Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) on the witness stand.

Willow was surprised to learn her conversations with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) weren’t protected as Scott reminded her of the penalty for perjury.

However, Willow tried to keep her cool and suggested that Michael’s campaign donation had been perfectly legal as far as she knew. Scott expressed doubt about this case even warranting a trial and asked Willow if Sonny saw himself as a victim.

“To my knowledge, Sonny Corinthos is no one’s victim,” Willow said firmly. Scott kept pushing anyway as he asked if there was some reason Sonny didn’t go after Nina.

Scott reminded Willow of what she stood to lose if she went to prison as Willow finally relented about overhearing Sonny and Nina’s private moment.

Nina tried to shut Scott down while Sonny did his best to take Carly outside the courtroom to talk.

However, Carly wanted to hear what Willow had to say. Scott then pushed Willow to reveal what she knew about the nature of Nina and Sonny’s relationship.

Willow recalled that Sonny said what happened between them had to come from him. When Scott pressed Willow on what was between Sonny and Nina in Nixon Falls, she admitted it was love.

There were some stunned, emotional looks in the courtroom – especially from Carly, who glared at Sonny with tears in her eyes.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will find himself in some seriously hot water for his secrets, so stay tuned.
