General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, January 25, tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will have an exciting idea. Since Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) turned down Maxie’s pitch to do a cover story on Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), Maxie may come up with a backup plan.
It would still be a good idea to tackle this crisis head-on and make Sasha a more sympathetic character to the public. Maxie is engaged to Peter August (Wes Ramsey), who runs The Invader.
She might suggest that Sasha should just give an exclusive story to someone on Peter’s staff – or even Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney).
However, there’ll be another pitch that Jackie hears on Monday. Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will offer updates on Florence Grey’s (Annie Abbott) kidnapping and hope Jackie’s willing to expose the whole thing to the public.
Once Jackie hears about what Martin assumes is Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) ruthless move, he’ll explain that his ill mother is in danger. Martin will perhaps hope he can give Jason a nudge into returning Florence – and Jackie will admit this would be a compelling story.
Nevertheless, it looks like Jackie will want some time to mull it over and dig for a little more information. As for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), she might admit that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was rather prickly during their encounter earlier.
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) might argue that it wasn’t wise to stir up more trouble, but Ava will feel like she did what she had to do for her daughter.
Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) couldn’t rest until she got her lucky charm necklace back, so Ava wanted to make sure her grieving precious girl had it.
Ava will promise there’s a silver lining on Monday, so she might argue that it’s all wrapped up and now she needs nothing from the Corinthos clan. This is Ava and Nikolas’ chance to bond as a family with Avery.
Of course, Ava may not need anything else, but Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) certainly does! Carly’s eager to get that half-heart pendant back before things spiral out of control, so she’ll turn to someone for help. “You have no idea how glad I am to see you,” Carly says in Monday’s GH preview video.
It looks like it’ll be Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) who shows up and gets recruited for Carly’s urgent scheme. General Hospital spoilers say Bobbie will agree to serve as a distraction for Ava later in the week, January 25-29, so Carly will plan to sneak in Avery’s room and retrieve the pendant without Ava noticing.
While Carly figures out how she’s going to pull that off, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will stop by Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) place.
“That makes you an accomplice,” Valentin insists to an irritated Jax in Monday’s promo. General Hospital spoilers say Valentin will rile Jax and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) up with some sort of bait.
Whatever Valentin has in mind connects to the Corinthos clan, so that’s probably where all this accomplice business comes in. Valentin might end up pointing the finger at Carly for Florence’s kidnapping and acting like Jax must’ve helped her.
Regardless, Valentin will fully believe his plan will lead to Florence’s safe return, so he’ll push Martin to retract his story offer to Jackie.
As for Nina, she’ll dismiss Valentin’s maneuver and won’t think Jax should pay any attention to it. “That’s the last thing you should do,” Nina warns in Monday’s preview clip. She may feel like Valentin is just playing his typical games and will eventually give up.
Nevertheless, Valentin will soon manage to convince Nina that perhaps she doesn’t know Jax as well as she thought she did. In the coming episodes, Nina should become more suspicious of Jax and the secrets he’s keeping with Carly.
Back with Sasha, she’ll catch up with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and face some tough questions. “Are you prepared for that?” Chase asks Sasha in Monday’s preview clip.
Chase may want to know if Sasha’s ready in the event Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) doesn’t want to reunite. On the other hand, Chase might want to know if Sasha’s prepared for a reunion that may not go as expected.
There’s no guarantee Sasha can recapture what she’s lost with Michael – just like there’s no guarantee Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) can recapture what she’s lost with Chase. Even so, Michael and Willow will feel they owe it to their exes to try for a fresh start.
Willow will ask Michael if he needs more time in Monday’s episode, but Michael may admit he’s as ready as he’ll ever be. General Hospital spoilers suggest Michael and Willow will sign the annulment papers and officially end their marriage.
It’ll break their hearts in some ways, but Willow and Michael will try to focus on their new chapters for now.
