General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, October 11 Recap – Britt Refuses Jason - Ava’s Spencer Payback – Shawn Suspects Nikolas

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, October 11, reveals that Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) got payback by having Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) arrested – and Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) began to suspect Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Plus, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) refused to reunite with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), so here’s how it all went down.

At Wyndemere on Monday’s GH episode, Ava left Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) alone with Spencer since she was willing to at least hear him out. However, Trina wasn’t impressed with Spencer’s lackluster apology and felt he needed to make some improvements.

Trina insisted Spencer was only thinking of himself when he carried out his scheme against Ava. She was also upset over how Spencer scared her at the gallery, but Spencer thought Trina was so cool for how she handled herself during all that.

Spencer suggested Trina was the only person who knew him as something other than Spencer the heir or orphan. Although Spencer wanted to keep their friendship intact, Trina took off without resolving anything between them.

Spencer eventually turned his attention back to Ava and admitted he was only sorry for taking things as far as he did. He felt like Ava fired the first shot by choosing to fix her face instead of taking down Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

Ava ranted about the pain of being separated from Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) and made it clear that there’d be “hell to pay” if Spencer came after her again. She seemed delighted as the police eventually arrived and placed Spencer under arrest!

At Spring Ridge, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) got updates on Nikolas’ reunion with Ava. She also found out Spencer was behind the stalker mayhem, but she didn’t think it was a good idea for Nikolas to turn his back on his son.

Alexis pointed out that Nikolas faked his death and essentially led Spencer down this path. She gave Nikolas a nudge toward working things out with Spencer and trying to become a better example for him.

Outside Kelly’s, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) obviously wasn’t buying the contrite act Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) was trying to sell.

Cameron Webber (William Lipton) thought Esme was being sincere, so Joss tried to convince him that wasn’t the case.

Josslyn argued that Esme might be after Spencer’s money, but Cam didn’t see why she’d stick around now that Spencer was broke.

Even so, Josslyn argued that they didn’t really know anything about Esme. She felt like Esme was the one who pushed Spencer to take his scheme against Ava so far.

Meanwhile, Esme got some great news over the phone. She was thrilled to learn she’d gotten the internship she wanted at Spring Ridge and couldn’t wait to get started.

As Esme was exiting, she told Josslyn how lucky she was to have a guy like Cameron. Esme also delivered a veiled threat by suggesting Joss should accept that she’s a package deal with Spencer.

Next, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) reunited with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), who revealed that he was going to be a father.

When Brando mentioned not wanting to be in the business, Sonny wondered if Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was pressuring him to leave.

Brando explained how he was putting his family first and wanted some dad pointers from Sonny.

As for Sasha, she showed up in Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) office. Nina expected Sasha to trash her, but Sasha was understanding about the Sonny situation instead.

Now that she was on the verge of becoming a mother herself, Sasha also realized now how hurtful it was to pretend to be Nina’s daughter. Nina was certain Sasha was going to be a wonderful mom.

There was a little awkwardness when Brando stopped by with a spinach drink for Sasha, but they eventually took off – leaving Nina to flash back to close “Mike” moments once she was alone.

At the Metro Court, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) had an honest discussion with Britt. Carly admitted that although her marriage to Jason started out as a business move, they decided they wanted a real one in the end.

Britt figured it must be tough to turn off those feelings now that Sonny was back, but Carly just wanted things to go back to how they were before – and Jason wanted that as well.

Nevertheless, Britt wasn’t interested in getting back together with Jason, who always puts Carly first.

Britt also felt like Carly was still trying to control Jason’s life, but Carly insisted she had a place in that life and added accepting it was the price of admission.

Although Carly pointed out Jason was a hard habit to break, Britt didn’t think that was true for her and sashayed away.

By the bar, Shawn met with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) about the Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) investigation.

Shawn was surprised to learn that Nikolas drove Hayden out of town through a phony threat. He later gave Nikolas a suspicious glare when he saw him at Spring Ridge.

As for Sonny, he spoke with Carly briefly before she dashed off to a meeting. That gave Sonny a chance to corner Jax by the bar and admit they had a lot to talk about.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny and Jax will make peace soon enough, so don’t miss what’s coming up on ABC’s GH.
