General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will wrestle with a major decision after finding Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) at The Tan-O in Pennsylvania. Nina will no doubt think back on that phone conversation and learn all about how Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) met “Mike.”
It won’t take long for Nina to realize Sonny has amnesia and no way of finding his way back to the people he loves in Port Charles.
Naturally, Nina’s initial reaction will be to get in touch with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and put this reunion in motion ASAP. Nina has a good heart and won’t want to see Sonny’s family suffer.
Despite Nina’s issues with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), she cares about Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) – and Josslyn misses her stepdad. Sonny’s children need to be reunited with their father, and the same goes for Sonny’s wife.
However, something will happen that causes Nina to go against her first instinct to spill Sonny’s survival.
General Hospital spoilers say Carly will manage to self-sabotage and make an enemy out of herself – and this will go down right as Nina reverses her initial decision.
When you add all that up, it could mean Nina will call a belligerent Carly and get chewed out when she’s trying to share the Sonny shocker.
It’s easy to imagine Carly acting like she doesn’t have time for this and that Nina’s not going to be in Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) life right now – no matter how much Nina wants to be.
Between that and the fact that Nina blames Carly for Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) death, Nina will have some good reasons to keep her mouth shut.
GH spoilers say Nina will indeed keep the fact that Sonny’s alive under wraps. Since Nina’s told everyone that she needed to get out of Port Charles for a while, it won’t raise any red flags when she remains gone for a while.
Nina will extend her visit near Phyllis and will spend plenty of time with “Mike,” so look for these two to bond.
Could Nina actually fall for Sonny aka “Mike” in this amnesiac state? Sonny certainly seems poised to fall for Nina and may even suspect she’s the blonde woman from his dreams.
Nina could lean into that for revenge on Carly, but what if she genuinely develops feelings for Sonny? That could turn into a real mess!
Jax hurt Nina deeply – and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) hurt Nina repeatedly before that. “Mike” is a chill guy with absolutely no baggage without his memories. Nina may find “Mike” charming and easy to talk to, so there’s the potential for feelings to develop on both sides.
The problem is Nina won’t be honest about Sonny’s Port Charles ties and how much she knows about him.
No matter how this plays out, Nina and Sonny’s connection will be an interesting one to watch in the coming weeks. We’ll provide updates as other GH news emerges.
