General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will battle concerns about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and whatever else she might be planning. Nina’s obviously furious with Carly and determined to take her down in any way possible.
If Nina can’t make murder charges stick, she’ll resort to more drastic measures.
It’s probably no coincidence that Carly brought up some of Nina’s wild behavior of the past and suggested Nina wasn’t all that different from her daughter, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). Likewise, there’s probably a good reason Nina’s being so insensitive about Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) death.
It’s easy to see the puzzle pieces coming together for Nina to pull off a very Nelle-like plot – and she may use Sonny to do it.
GH writers have to be going somewhere with this Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) connection, which could end up bringing Sonny and Nina together. It’s where their stories overlap, so where is this heading?
Nina already spoke with “Mike” on the phone, but there are bound to be other connections between them – maybe even some in person.
There’s some new evidence to back that up based on Maurice Benard’s recent tweet. “I had a great time working today I can’t tell you who I’m working with because I will get in trouble but I had a blast,” Benard said.
We should note that Benard quoted a tweet from the General Hospital Twitter account, which offered another hint. That tweet was one about Sonny’s clouded memory of someone important to him – implying that maybe this mystery person Benard’s working with will tie in.
That brings us to Sonny’s dream, which featured a mystery BLONDE! Wouldn’t it be the ultimate revenge for blonde Nina to act like she’s Sonny’s former flame? Sonny may end up thinking Nina seems awfully familiar if they cross paths, so she could work with that.
Nina might convince Sonny that she’s the woman from his dreams instead of Carly. It’d be an alternate route to the revenge Nina so desperate craves.
It’s worth mentioning that Benard retweeted a fan’s suggestion that he might be working with Cynthia Watros. It all fits, especially when you consider that Nelle comparison the show made.
Nelle pretended to sleep with Sonny once upon a time for revenge on Carly, so Nina may do something similar here – except Nina might actually go all the way!
Although Nina will have to be careful considering her link to Phyllis, we’d say she can figure out a path to Sonny’s bed. When the time is right, perhaps Nina can reveal that she not only kept Sonny’s survival a secret, but she slept with him, too.
