General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) may find she has another difference of opinion with her daughter, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). GH fans know Liesl thinks Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is a monster who must be stopped.
Obrecht wants revenge, but this is also about protecting Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), James West (Curtis and Owen Rufca) and even Maxie’s impending bundle of joy.
Liesl cares about Maxie and her family, so she’ll step just as Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) would do if he were still around. It’s clear that Peter is at the top of Liesl’s hit list, but Britt just doesn’t see Peter as a real threat.
General Hospital spoilers say Britt will come around on the idea of Peter being shady sooner or later, but she still won’t hate him to the extreme Liesl does. Britt will also stand her ground on not engaging in any violent behavior against Peter, so she’ll definitely lash out if Liesl goes back on her word.
Liesl and Britt won’t be on the same page about Peter, but what about Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)? There’s a chance Obrecht and Britt may ultimately disagree about Cyrus, too. Liesl was curious when Britt brought up Cyrus and seemed concerned, but Britt insisted she could handle it.
Obrecht’s concerns may start to subside if she sees the potential for a great ally. GH fans know Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson) needs her story published somewhere to help out the Deception brand.
Now that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has rejected the idea of printing one, it looks like Maxie will convince Peter to run the article at The Invader.
Unfortunately, Sasha’s story could do some serious damage. It might ruin the reputation that Cyrus is trying to build as a philanthropist and make him look like a monster.
Since Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) also worked for The Invader and worked on stories against him before she died, Cyrus may sense this is a disturbing pattern.
Cyrus might determine that Peter would be worth targeting for revenge and to get him out of the picture. As luck would have it, that’s exactly why Obrecht is targeting Peter. It’s easy to see how Liesl and Cyrus might find some common ground as allies.
Obrecht could propose a deal to join forces on Peter’s takedown – just as long as Britt stays protected. They say that the enemy of my enemy is my friend! Since Liesl hates Peter and Cyrus is about to hate him, these baddies might team up for Peter’s destruction.
