General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will get some crushing news regarding a friend of hers. GH fans know Liesl considers Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) to be a close pal, even if she manipulates him from time to time. That’s just how Liesl rolls with people in general!
Even so, Franco and Liesl had a genuine friendship – one that’ll suddenly be gone when Obrecht finds out Franco was shot and killed. Of course, Liesl is a smart woman and should be able to figure out Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) wasn’t behind this.
Liesl knows Franco was hearing Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) voice in his head and that Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) memories were starting to resurface.
Based on the timing of Peter’s exposure and Franco’s death, Liesl may put it together that Peter was trying to silence Franco.
Obrecht might even feel partially responsible for setting this in motion through the big reveal at the wedding. Nevertheless, Liesl did whatever she had to do to protect Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) – and Liesl will no doubt continue to do whatever she has to do to keep Maxie safe.
The same goes for James West (Curtis and Owen Rufca) and the baby Maxie’s carrying.
However, there should also be a revenge element in play soon for Liesl. We can’t forget that Liesl has a secret weapon she can use against Peter at any moment. One click of a pen and Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) programming will turn him into a dangerous threat to Peter.
Will Liesl decide the time is finally right to trigger Dante and force him to “complete the mission”? Obrecht will surely be feeling vengeful – and we know Olivia Quartemaine (Lisa LoCicero) will race to the hospital during the week of March 22-26.
That same week, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will work to figure out exactly what happened to Dante.
All of that could mean Dante will turn on Peter due to his programming and crash in the aftermath. Obrecht may think Dante needs to step up and help her get revenge on Peter for murdering Franco in cold blood. We’ll provide updates as other GH details emerge.
