General Hospital Spoilers: Peter Tricks Jason Into Killing Franco – Triggers Stone Cold with Fake Return of Tumor Dark Side?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that an old threat has come back to haunt Peter August (Wes Ramsey). GH fans know Peter was once tempted to kill Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) due to the whole memory transfer situation. At the time, Peter feared Franco’s Drew Cain (Billy Miller) memories would intensify after his reversal procedure.

Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) warned that was a possible outcome, so Peter hired a hit on Franco – only to change his mind and become Franco’s “hero” later.

Since Franco went back to normal after the procedure, Peter breathed a sigh of relief. He thought the issue had been resolved, but now Franco’s remembering things that Drew remembered – things that could incriminate Peter!

What’s Peter going to do about his revived Franco problem? Although Peter can be deadly, he does have a conscience and likes to avoid getting his hands dirty whenever possible. The fact that Peter saved Franco from the hitman he hired proves all that.

If Peter were completely ruthless, he wouldn’t have saved Franco. If Peter really had a good heart, he wouldn’t have ordered the hit in the first place. It’s clear that Peter is a complex man who struggles with this inner battle of his.

However, NOTHING is going to stand in the way of Peter’s future with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and their family – at least that’s how Peter feels about it. General Hospital spoilers say Peter will go as low as he needs to if it means holding onto that future.

Let’s think about Peter’s predicament here. Peter’s probably realizing that Franco may have to die, but he won’t want to commit that murder on his own. He’d like to keep his hands as clean as possible. It’s also best to avoid hiring someone who could rat Peter out or trace back to him.

As luck would have it, Franco has basically ordered a hit on himself – one that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will carry out if Franco shows signs of his dark behavior returning.

If Peter finds out about that – perhaps through an overheard conversation or if Franco confides in him – Peter may start to form a plan.

If Peter can get Jason to kill Franco for him, that’d be an easy way to solve his problem. Peter could slip Franco a drug to mimic the effects of the tumor and cause some wild actions. Then again, Peter could stage some sort of scene that leads Jason to believe there’s real and imminent danger.

If Jason believes Franco poses a threat, he won’t hesitate to take him out. Knowing Jason’s part of the mob and is in the business of covering up crimes, Peter might feel like this is the perfect solution.

Franco would be gone, and no one would go down for it. Peter would still battle some guilt, but he’d feel better about that outcome than committing coldblooded murder himself.

Peter’s plot is bound to go wrong since Franco will presumably live. Nevertheless, tricking Jason into killing Franco does seem like something Peter would try. Do you think that’s the strategy Peter will go with? We’ll offer updates as other GH news comes in.
