General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) guilt could become a bigger problem as her latest storyline moves along. Nina was prepared to fill Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in on Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) survival until Carly lashed out over the phone.
In the heat of the moment, Nina denied Carly the chance to reunite with her husband.
However, Nina has had some time to cool off and will inevitably wrestle with this huge secret she’s keeping. Nina was furious with Carly and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) for hiding the truth about dead Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) being her daughter.
If that secret hadn’t come out, Nina never would’ve known Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) was her grandson.
Jax argued that he just didn’t think about the grandson connection – and now it seems Nina isn’t thinking about the rest of Sonny’s family either.
It’s one thing to make Carly suffer. It isn’t right, but we can understand why Nina’s feeling vengeful and would want Carly to pay.
Nevertheless, there are other people to consider here. Sonny’s children are missing him terribly and are grieving a loss they don’t have to. At some point, Nina may start to think about Sonny’s kids – and even Wiley, who also happens to be Sonny’s grandson.
Nina is depriving Wiley of his grandpa, so that may be especially hard for her to deal with.
In the end, Nina may decide to come clean to “Mike” – perhaps after they’ve grown much closer and even developed feelings for each other. Sonny is a simple, easy-going guy in this state and might understand why Nina hid the truth.
General Hospital spoilers suggest there’s the potential for Sonny to side with Nina since he thought her story about the “bitter widow” was so horrible. “Mike” might decide a new life with Nina is still what he wants.
Even so, Sonny would at least want to head back to Port Charles for his children’s sake. Sonny’s been worried about having people in his old life who feel abandoned. “Mike” would want to step up for his kids, even if he can’t remember them at that point.
Since Sonny knows Nina is from Port Charles, it’d bring some great drama if he wants to go home as a couple! Maybe “Mike” could choose Nina and reject Carly as he comes strutting into town with his new woman.
Can you imagine Carly’s face if after the big reveal that Sonny’s alive, he also reveals that he’s with Nina now?
