General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may make a surprise love confession and beg Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) not to go as he pours his heart out. Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) also wants Nina to stay in Nixon Falls and happens to think “Mike” is a great guy. She’ll have some good reasons to help Sonny fight for his romance with Nina in the coming episodes.
Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Radmacher) is set to play hardball with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), which should lead to a firm guarantee of Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) visitation.
Nina refused to come back to Port Charles when Jax could only offer hope, not a real guarantee.
Once Jax can offer a more substantial agreement with Michael, Nina will have to decide if she’s willing to leave Nixon Falls behind for her grandson’s sake. Nina will get a phone call with good news on June 9, which will be followed by a shocker for Sonny and Phyllis on June 10.
Phyllis and Sonny will be caught off guard, so “Mike” will feel the need to step up. It sounds like Nina will let Sonny and Phyllis know she might be headed home soon.
Nina might think the time has come to pack it up and leave this make-believe fresh start she’s found with “Mike” behind.
Of course, Sonny will have other plans since he’s fallen hard and has such strong feelings for Nina.
GH spoilers say Sonny will no doubt beg Nina to stay – and Phyllis may deliver a plea of her own. She may point out that Nina seems awfully happy and free there with them in Nixon Falls.
Phyllis is also rooting for Nina and Sonny to find love, so she may argue that they could be a fantastic match if Nina would just open her heart all the way. Regardless, we know Sonny will make a bold move, so he may profess his love for Nina and hope it’s enough to make Nina stay.
Unfortunately, it could end up doing the opposite if it scares Nina off! Nina might realize just how serious things have gotten once Sonny clarifies his feelings and describes his desire for a future together.
