General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, August 19, tease that Ava Jerome (Maura West) seems poised to take a Nixon Falls trip while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) rush to the altar. There’ll also be a fun nurses’ night out, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
At GH, Ava will fret over the hospital badge haunting as well as the car blaze. “Is there any place left where this psychopath can’t get to me?” an outraged Ava asks Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom).
Ava will eventually make a desperate choice, so that could involve taking a trip and getting away from the chaos of Port Charles.
We know Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will see someone familiar in Nixon Falls during the week of August 23-27, so there’s a good chance Ava will head there to recharge.
As for Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), they’ll share a close moment and might end up locking lips.
Spencer may not know Trina very well just yet, but he’ll insist he’d like to know more as he looks at her with smitten eyes.
There’ll also be yet another surprise that unsettles Spencer and leaves him in need of comfort, so maybe the second stalker will strike at him next. Whatever the case, Spencer will lean on Trina and appreciate having someone in his corner.
Meanwhile, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will warn Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) that one more terrible choice could cost him everything. She’ll push Nikolas to get his act together before it’s too late!
Next, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will have to face the ramifications of a decision she’s made.
That could involve agreeing to share the chief of staff position with Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) since Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) will be back to share some words of wisdom.
A group of nurses from the hospital will head to The Savoy for a celebration, so Terry may treat them and leave Britt looking less than friendly.
Once Epiphany offers some advice, she’ll suggest there’s plenty more where that came from! Epiphany may think Britt needs to make more of an effort to seem approachable and cooperative with her staff.
Finally, Jason and Carly will plan to get married as soon as possible. The five families still consider Carly a liability since she’s just Jason’s fiancée right now.
The best they can do is rush to the altar, but Carly will ask Jason if any part of this wedding is going to be about them.
Although Carly will be frustrated over the situation, Jason may argue that keeping their loved ones safe has to be the priority.
As for whether any part of this wedding will be about them as a new couple, Jason may think they can make it special in their own way.
