General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, August 26 Recap – Peter’s Cop Run-In & Sonny Showdown – Nina’s SOS Liesl Call

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 26, reveals that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had a cop run-in and geared up for a Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) showdown. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) also made an SOS call to Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), so here’s how it all went down on Thursday’s GH episode.

At home, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) opened the door to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), who marveled at his brother being able to walk.

Chase explained the secrecy surrounding his progress and filled Finn in on Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) being in love with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

After Chase revealed Willow wanted an annulment, he talked about the pain of knowing Willow wasn’t the type to just cheat.

Willow truly loved Michael, so Chase was at least glad she was happy and knew Michael was a good guy at heart, too.

Finn couldn’t believe how understanding Chase was being and offered support.

When Finn invited Chase on the upcoming camping trip with Violet Finn (Jophielle Love), Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and the boys, Chase smiled and said he’d think about it.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Michael heard about Willow reaching a place of peace with Chase.

When Michael wondered if there was a way forward for all of them, Willow was hopeful that in time it was possible to restore friendships.

As for the topic of ELQ, Michael argued it wouldn’t be the end of the world if Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) remained in charge.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) bickered with Michael about Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) – and Willow admitted she also found Austin to be rather shady.

In the Corinthos family kitchen, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) vented to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) about the conflict she’d witnessed between her parents.

Joss didn’t understand why Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) was behaving this way unless he was flat-out jealous over the marriage and still in love with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

Josslyn wanted Jason to know that she supported the wedding and couldn’t imagine a better man stepping up for her mom.

Jason understood Jax’s concerns on some level, but he didn’t want Josslyn to worry about anything.

Joss reflected on becoming more independent and not being able to rely on Carly’s advice about college since she never went.

However, Jason praised Carly for tackling other challenges and let Josslyn know she still had a solid support system.

After keeping one of Louise August’s (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) pacifiers for herself, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) talked to Carly about the wedding plans.

Carly confessed she wasn’t sure why she had a weird feeling about all this, but Maxie thought it was understandable since Carly previously didn’t envision this outcome with Jason.

Later, Carly found Josslyn at home and was surprised to learn she’s already had a heart-to-heart with Jason, who gave good advice despite typically being pretty quiet.

Back at the Metro Court, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) acknowledged the “Jarly” wedding date being set. She wasn’t dwelling on any regrets and felt that was something to celebrate with Liesl.

Liesl later grumbled at Maxie over the wedding planning, but she settled down eventually despite being agitated on Britt’s behalf.

Britt wanted a beautiful wedding for Jason, but Obrecht hoped there’d at least be a hiccup or two.

In Nixon Falls, Peter met Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and irked Sonny by revealing that he stayed at Nina’s place last night.

Nina was quick to point out that she had room on the couch.

Peter then mentioned being “simpatico” with Nina and said they’d both experienced losing a child. Phyllis sadly knew all about that experience and reflected on losing a daughter.

Sonny was clearly suspicious of Peter and grew curious about the project he alluded to. Peter suggested Sonny hadn’t heard the unwritten rule about authors and editors, who never kiss and tell!

Phyllis’ officer friend from the police department showed up to offer his condolences and found Peter familiar, so Peter grabbed the gun behind his back just in case.

Nina piped up about knowing Peter in Port Charles, but Peter threw out some other cities and acted like they really knew each other from all over.

Once Peter and Nina were alone again, he ranted about it being a fatal mistake to drop hints like that.

Peter felt like Nina had better hope everything stayed under wraps and upped the ante by threatening Phyllis as well as “Mike.”

Sonny came back and insisted on going with Peter during his walk, but things took a tense turn outside.

“Mike” thought it was obvious that Nina didn’t like Peter much and was curious about the reason why.

Back with Nina, she called Liesl and alerted her to a problem that she thought Obrecht would be well-suited to solve. Nevertheless, Nina was willing to solve it herself if she had to.

General Hospital spoilers say Liesl’s upcoming Peter trap will ultimately go awry, so stay tuned.
