General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, December 2, reveals that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) had a private investigator pitch for Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) while Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) named their baby Liam. Let’s talk about how it all went down on Thursday’s action-packed show.
In the Corinthos kitchen, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) filled Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in on Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) calling to taunt him about Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) death. Carly felt like Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) were in hiding because of Cyrus, so she wondered what Sonny would do about that.
When Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) appeared, Carly and Sonny were excited to see him. Drew got a warm embrace from Carly and an introduction to Donna Corinthos (Ava Rose) before talking to the adults alone. Drew worried he was a painful reminder since Jason died saving him, but Sonny and Carly assured Drew they were glad he survived.
Drew mentioned Peter August (Wes Ramsey) wanting him to kidnap Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and worried she could still be at risk if he was reactivated somehow. After Drew left, Carly and Sonny decided to focus on family, which meant going to the hospital and offering Brando support.
At Alexis’ place, she told Sam about the Cassadine chaos that had gone down. Alexis found out about Drew coming home alive before Sam dropped the bomb that Jason was dead. Sam admitted to being with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) last night and felt confident in her decision to move on.
Sam also wanted Alexis to consider a new career as a private investigator since she was down a PI. She thought Alexis’ knowledge of the law would come in handy and suggested Alexis should take some time to pull over the idea.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) was having second thoughts about Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) stepping up for “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom). She felt like maybe if they explained things to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he would still be willing to offer Yuri and other protection.
Brook Lynn suggested they could hire their own protection, but Maxie thought there’d be no way to explain the need for it without Valentin’s involvement. She was concerned about leading Peter right to Louise and didn’t like the fact that Chase no longer had his gun or shield due to his suspension.
After Brook Lynn and Chase offered reassurance, Chase privately admitted to BLQ that he feared much of what Maxie said was true. Next, Dante caught up with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and confirmed he knew about Drew as well as Jason. Olivia figured things must be getting pretty serious since Dante stayed with Sam and wanted her son to check on Sonny.
At GH, Valentin was there to get some of his stitches fixed when he crossed paths with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Anna was stunned to learn “Bailey” wasn’t Valentin’s daughter, but she thought he needed to focus on dealing with his emotional trauma rather than revenge.
Valentin insisted that if he was going to hurt, then Brook Lynn should hurt, too. He was dreading the idea of saying goodbye to “Bailey” since that meant all of this would become real.
Over with Sasha, she fell getting out of bed since she was so desperate to see her baby. Nurse Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) needed Dr. Sofia Navarro (Christine Ferraro) to sign off on Sasha visiting the NICU, but she warned the doc could be in surgery for quite some time.
Sasha couldn’t wait, so Brando decided to sneak her in while Nina distracted Nurse Amy. Nina flattered Amy over what a great nurse she was and pitched the idea of her being a “nurse model” for a big Crimson story.
After a brief encounter with a fan of Deception, Brando warned Sasha about their son being hooked up to a lot of machines. Sasha assured Brando she was ready and was overjoyed to meet her little boy. She told her son that she loved him from the moment she knew he existed and felt it was time to give him a name.
Brando admitted he liked Liam since it meant strong-willed warrior and went with the middle name Mike, so Sasha quickly got on board. Later, Brando talked about how beautiful Sasha was with their son and gave her a passionate kiss. Nina also offered updates on how she distracted Amy and got the couple’s gratitude in return.
While Sasha and Brando learned there was some news about their baby, Nina spotted Carly and Sonny as they got off the GH elevator. Back with Drew, the sight of him at the Quartermaine residence brought a stunned smile to Maxie’s face.
Over with Brook Lynn, she told Chase they had to see this through as they contemplated what Valentin might do next. After the doorbell rang, Brook Lynn opened the door to find Valentin standing there.
