General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, December 23, tease that Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) trick Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) testimony while Esme Prince (Avery Kirsten Pohl) fears disaster. Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will also threaten Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), so here’s what GH fans can expect.
First, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will share a tender moment with Trina Robinson).
Spencer will admit he wishes he could see himself through Trina’s eyes, but Trina will try to convince Spencer that it’s possible. Maybe a little Christmas Eve pep talk will lift Spencer’s spirits.
As for Cameron Webber (William Lipton), it looks like he’ll urge Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to give Esme a chance – or at least learn to coexist peacefully with her.
Josslyn will warn that she’s not changing her opinion, so we can assume Joss will continue plotting to expose Esme’s true colors.
At some point, Esme will interrupt and insist “the absolute worst thing has happened.” It’s possible Spencer will decide to turn down the deal Victor worked out and send Esme into a tizzy.
Perhaps Esme will push Josslyn to see if she can get through to Spencer – leaving Esme alone with Cam to manipulate him a bit more.
Whatever the case, Esme will definitely be eager to recruit some help here.
In the meantime, Liesl will have a scary run-in with a familiar foe.
Victor will take a menacing tone as he warns Obrecht not to get in his way – and she should know by now what he’s capable of!
At the Metro Court, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will meet up with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) for breakfast, but this will turn into more of a grilling session.
“Did your involvement go deeper?” Laura asks Nikolas in Thursday’s preview video.
This is presumably about just how deep Nikolas’ alliance with Victor went, but he’ll no doubt downplay any association they had.
Next, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will seek Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) out for official police business, so there’ll be another interrogation happening across town.
Before Nina’s preliminary hearing gets underway, Liesl will put some serious pressure on Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). She’ll want Scott to get Nina off the hook, but she’ll worry about his plan to make that happen.
Nina and Sonny’s Nixon Falls romance will have to explode if Nina wants to keep her freedom.
As for Nina, she’ll ask Scott what her chances are of avoiding a trial – and he’ll know they’re not good unless he can use that secret romance to spin things in her favor.
Once Sonny gets on the stand as a witness, Scott will demand to know why he didn’t press charges.
That’ll put Sonny in a tight spot – and things will get even worse as the truth about Nixon Falls unravels during the week of December 27-31. We’ll bring you updates as other GH news comes in.
