General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, December 9 – Laura Saves Martin’s Life – Britt Assists Brad – Sonny Warns Maxie

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, December 9, tease that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) seems poised to save Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) life while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) prepares to do a favor for Brad Cooper (Parry Shen). Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will also have a warning for Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), so let’s talk about what’s coming up.

First, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will catch Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) off guard by pushing for honesty. “If there’s anything to tell me, the time is now,” Ava warns in Thursday’s preview video.

It seems Ava will want to be sure she has all the facts when it comes to Nikolas’ relationship with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

Victor is a major wild card who has to be handled, so Ava needs to know anything important regarding their past, present and future dealings.

Next, Britt will receive a surprise visit at GH. General Hospital spoilers say Selina Wu will stop by, so it looks like the show’s given Ms. Nina Wu (Lydia Look) a new first name to avoid confusion with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Whatever the case, Britt will feel like she’s being judged when Ms. Wu approaches her. She’ll wonder about the meaning of this visit, but it no doubt involves Brad.

Brad’s parole hearing is coming up, so it wouldn’t hurt for a respected co-chief of staff to put in a good word for him. Ms. Wu may hope she can count on Britt for that.

Meanwhile, Nina will pop in Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) room and admit her problems just keep getting worse.

Nina might bring Liesl up to speed on all the drama with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), but she’ll at least share Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) latest accusation.

“What are you accused of now?” Liesl asks in Thursday’s preview clip. Nina will insist that Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) death was her fault, but Obrecht may argue that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is the real culprit in all this.

That said, Liesl will urge Nina to make things right somehow. She’ll deliver some advice and support when Nina needs it most, so Nina will be grateful for the chat.

As for Maxie, she’ll continue her conversation with Sonny. Maxie just approached Sonny to find out what he intends to do about Peter August (Wes Ramsey). She’s probably hoping Sonny will just order Peter’s murder and end this nightmare for good.

Sonny let Peter know that death was coming for him, but he’ll warn Maxie that getting rid of Peter is a bad idea – at least right now.

Perhaps Sonny will argue that Peter’s death has to happen at the right time. It’s important for Sonny to keep his hands clean and make sure the job actually gets done.

Nevertheless, Sonny will set up an arrangement of some sort and could possibly get the ball rolling on Peter’s demise.

Maxie will also serve as a supportive friend to someone, so we’ll see if that means Sonny or if she might visit Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) sooner than planned.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Carly will open up to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) about her marriage issues.

Carly will admit she’s not exactly on the same page with Sonny right now, but she’ll hope everything’s going to work itself out sooner or later.

At the safe house, a fake housekeeper was apparently sent by Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) to kill his siblings.

The assassin just started strangling Martin and intends to go after Laura next, but there’s a good chance Laura will return just in time to save her brother’s life.

Laura may come to Martin’s rescue by whacking this hitwoman over the head or something along those lines.

Regardless, it’s clear Cyrus’ threat is still very much a factor for Martin and Laura!

GH spoilers say plenty of excitement’s about to go down, so stay tuned.
