General Hospital Spoilers: Thursday, October 14 Recap – Jason Confesses Carly Bedroom Lust – Cam Rats Out Esme Car Fire

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 14, reveals that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) confessed he almost went to bed with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Cameron Webber (William Lipton) also decided to rat Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) out for starting the car fire, so here’s how all the drama played out.

At GH, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) realized Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) set him up and tried to make Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) see that she was being used.

Britt handed down a suspension over the HIPAA violation anyway, so Austin couldn’t practice medicine until the disciplinary board could review the case.

In Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) office, he wanted to know if he walked in on something when he came home the night of the wedding. Sonny was curious what would’ve happened if he hadn’t shown up when he did.

Jason admitted he would’ve gone to bed with Carly and added that he started falling back in love with her just before the wedding. He confirmed to Sonny that they ultimately decided to have a real marriage instead of just an arrangement for the mob’s sake.

Sonny wondered if Jason could really just turn his feelings off, but Jason was adamant about things going back to the way they were.

After Britt agonized over how to tell Jason she needed his help with the Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) situation, she summoned him via text.

Jason told Sonny he had to go, so Sonny thanked him for his honesty and smacked the desk in rage once he was alone.

As for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), she taunted Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about her double life and suggested Carly had no idea Nina was “getting it on in Hicksville” with “Mike.”

Nina clarified they didn’t sleep together and didn’t want Ava making matters worse, but Ava insisted she wanted Nina’s happiness. Ava thought there was still a chance for Nina and Sonny to be together.

Ava talked about overcoming her own romantic challenges with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and argued that where there’s love, there’s hope.

At the boxing gym, Brook Lynn hinted to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) about a new strategy to handle Austin. After Austin called Maxie and wanted to talk, he wound up at the boxing gym as well.

That led to Brook Lynn and Austin’s heated argument over her getting him in trouble at GH, but she felt like Austin used Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) first.

Brook Lynn was willing to drop the complaint if he dropped his own fight regarding Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) will. She insisted Austin had to choose between being a doctor or a Quartermaine, but Austin warned Brook Lynn to take her best shot.

In the Corinthos kitchen, Carly surprised Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron with the news of Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) arrest.

Cam and Joss headed to the police station, but Joss stayed behind to speak with Carly alone.

After Josslyn explained her latest run-in with Nina, Carly encouraged her daughter to focus on school and let all the Nina drama go.

The fact that Sonny was living this whole other life was still weighing on Carly, but Josslyn argued that Sonny left “Mike” in Nixon Falls.

Once Carly was alone, she tossed Sonny’s cowboy hat aside in frustration. Sonny eventually came home and was greeted with a “howdy, stranger” from Carly.

At the PCPD, Esme’s comments made Spencer wonder if all she cared about was keeping herself out of trouble.

However, Esme argued that she couldn’t help Spencer if she was locked up, too. Spencer seemed to believe Esme genuinely had his back.

Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) grilled Esme, who suggested she was an open book. Chase took note of Esme’s use of “whom” since that wasn’t something most people use in everyday conversations.

Chase interrogated Esme about Ava’s car being torched, but she acted like she only heard about it in the aftermath.

During Cam’s grilling session, he admitted Spencer said Esme set Ava’s car on fire – though Spencer had also walked it back. Cam quickly added that Spencer says a lot of things and it’s tough to know what’s true.

Chase praised Cameron for doing the right thing and handed over his card in case Cam learned something new.

After Chase warned Esme not to leave town, she pushed Trina to speak with Ava. Esme was hopeful Trina could convince Ava not to cooperate with the cops – that is if Trina really wanted to help Spencer.

Once Spencer was back in the interrogation room, Ava showed up. She insisted she wasn’t going anywhere and added that neither was Spencer!

General Hospital spoilers say some exciting developments are still to come in Spencer’s case.
