General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, February 16 Recap - Dreams, Revenge and a Guilty Plea

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 16, reveal that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) arrived at the church for Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) funeral, followed closely by Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).

Michael told Josslyn that this felt like a really bad dream, yet it was very real.

Meanwhile, in the church waiting room, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) discussed exactly how Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) died and how Carly had hesitated, then tried to save her.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) stood outside the waiting room, listening in on the conversation and looking horrified.

Carly and Jax continued talking, rehashing how it was Jax’s idea for Carly not to tell the police about trying to save Nelle. Nina kept listening, and she took off as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) approached the waiting room with Father Reyes (Juan Monsalvez).

Jax and Father Reyes left the room, and Carly told Jason that she didn’t know if she could do this, but that she would.

In the vestibule of the church, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) talked, and Dante said that he didn’t see Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) at the church, which was good. Dante said that if Alexis showed up, then they’d be civil. “You could have died!” Olivia reminded Dante.

In the sanctuary, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) walked in to see Michael and Willow together. Sasha expressed her condolences about Sonny, and Willow took off, leaving Michael and Sasha to talk. Michael was glad that Sasha was there, since they were still friends.

A bit later, Michael told Dante that he felt like Sonny was going to walk through those doors at any moment, and that Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) service felt the same way.

Dante regretted not being there for Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) service, but Michael reassured Dante that Sonny was really glad to have him back.

Meanwhile, over at Alexis’ house, Alexis came clean with Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos), admitting that she had just taken a drink. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) walked in and learned about Alexis’ slip.

The girls were understanding with their mom, and they said that they were there for Alexis and that they loved her before a group hug.

Sam and Kristina took off for Sonny’s service, leaving Alexis and Molly at the house. Molly wanted to know what Alexis’ defense strategy was for the syringe stabbing case, and if she was going to plead diminished capacity like Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) wanted her to.

Alexis admitted that the only thing she wanted to do was drink more. “I want to get sober, but I don’t know how,” Alexis lamented. “I almost killed a man – maybe I should change my plea to guilty,” Alexis continued. Molly tried to talk Alexis out of that idea, arguing that it wouldn’t help anyone.

At the cemetery, Nina went to Nelle’s grave. “It’s me – your mother,” Nina told Nelle. Nina lamented that they didn’t get time together as mother and daughter, and that it was Carly who was responsible for that.

Nina went on, ranting that Jax lied to her because he wanted to protect Carly, and saying that she’d get justice for Nelle…whatever it took.

At the hospital, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) were talking near the nurses’ hub when Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) ambled up and overheard Laura badmouthing him for not letting Brando attend Sonny’s funeral.

Cyrus indicated that he and Brando were going to go to the funeral, and Laura said that wasn’t going to happen.

Cyrus offered Laura a deal – if she had coffee with him and visited, then he would stay away from the funeral. Laura reluctantly agreed, and Cyrus sent Brando off to go to the funeral alone.

Later, Laura and Cyrus had coffee in a hallway and talked, and Cyrus wanted to hear the story of Laura killing David Hamilton.

Laura told the story, noting that it was an accident. Cyrus said that he understood, and that when he killed his father, it was an accident too. Cyrus said that his family turned its back on him afterwards, but Laura’s family supported her.

Cyrus noted that he and Laura weren’t so very different, but Laura balked, saying that he lived off people’s weaknesses, and she chooses family and love.

Back at the church, Carly and Michael talked in the vestibule. Carly said that she knew that the funeral was the right thing to do, but that it was difficult.

Inside the sanctuary, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) bear hugged Jason, who was startled by this, while Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) stood by and cried.

In the vestibule, Sam found Jason and hugged him, saying that she was sorry and that she wanted to be there for him. Brando arrived and got a chilly reception from Kristina, since he still worked for Cyrus. Carly reminded Kristina that Brando was family, and that they’d get through this together.

In the sanctuary, people started sitting down, while Brando and Sasha said hi to each other. Brando asked if he could sit with Sasha, and she agreed. Michael, Carly, and Jason walked into the sanctuary together and Father Reyes started the service.

Dante read a Psalm, and Kristina gave a moving talk about her father, as did Michael.

Carly spoke next, saying that they had all been truly blessed by Sonny. Carly said that Sonny would always be with her – in his children’s eyes and in their smiles and laughter.

Carly continued, saying that Sonny would be in her heart forever, and in the memories of the friends and family who would never forget him.

At the Tan-O Bar, Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) asked Sonny if he was still thinking about Officer Ralph Finchley (Tatum Shank) and his accusations about the robberies in the area. “I don’t let cops bother me,” Sonny said. Lenny wondered if Sonny had remembered something about who he was, but Sonny hadn’t.

Lenny said that Officer Finchley was a good guy, and that the robberies just had him on edge. Later, Sonny was alone listening to music, when he fell asleep with his head on the bar. Sonny turned and saw a woman’s figure (in the form of Carly’s silhouette) off in the shadows. Sonny walked toward her and went outside.

“Who are you, are you looking for me?” Sonny asked the woman in his dream. The woman walked away. “Wait, I know you, don’t I?” Sonny said to the woman. Sonny and the woman hugged, although viewers couldn’t see the woman’s face. “I never want this to end,” Sonny said.

Lenny then walked into the bar and woke Sonny up. Sonny said that he had a dream, and that he was happy and didn’t want it to end. “I remembered someone,” Sonny said.

Back at the cemetery, the family gathered around Sonny’s gravesite. Father Reyes said a prayer, and one by one, Sonny’s family and friends laid roses on his gravesite. As this was going on, Nina walked by, having just come from Nelle’s grave. Jax noticed Nina, and she stared him down angrily.

“Jax, we need to talk now,” Nina said loudly. Jax said that he couldn’t talk right now and that Josslyn needed him. “No, now,” Nina insisted. “I know what you did,” Nina continued. Carly turned to look at what was going on.
