General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, February 23 Recap - Nelle Case Closed - Nina Gets Wiley Visit - Peter's Past Revealed

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 23, reveal that Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) talked at the coffee shop. Jax opened up about the whole ordeal about the secret he and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) kept about Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier).

Jax said that he was thinking of backing up Nina Reeves (Cynthis Watros) and admitting to the federal investigator that Nina was right about her allegations against him and Carly.

Jax thought that might prove to Nina that he’s on her side, and he took off, saying that he knew what he needed to do.

At the PCPD, Carly and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) met in the interrogation room ahead of Carly’s interview with the federal agent. Diane instructed Carly to stick to her original statement about what happened with Nelle, and Carly was sure that Jax would back her up.

Soon, the bristly federal agent arrived, and Carly answered his various questions in a montage.

Carly stuck with her original story, and she asserted that Nina was mistaken about overhearing her discussion with Jax at the funeral. Next, Jax appeared, and talked with the federal agent, and afterwards, the agent announced that he found no reason to pursue the case further and that the case was closed.

After the agent left, Jax noted that while he backed Carly up, there would still be fallout.

At Crimson, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) came to lend an ear to Nina. Maxie learned about what happened at the cemetery, and she listened as Nina expressed how much she wanted Carly and Jax to pay.

Maxie gently pointed out that perhaps Carly had a reason to hesitate before helping Nelle on the cliff, and Nina admitted that she hadn’t even considered Carly’s children before now.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) discussed how Nina was Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) grandmother, and Willow pointed out that Nina did a lot for Wiley in the past.

Willow advocated for allowing Nina to see Wiley, but Michael was a bit hesitant.

At Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) house, Anna and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) had their bags packed and said they were ready to go find Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati).

Finn took off to head over to see Peter August (Wes Ramsey), and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) showed up with news for Anna.

“I spoke to Peter and it’s worse than we feared,” Valentin said. Through a long conversation, Valentin told Anna that Peter had framed Liesl, arranged the hit on Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), arranged the attack on Andre Maddox (Anthony Washington), and arranged for Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) plane to go down.

Valentin also disclosed that Peter worked with César Faison (Anders Hove) and Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) to abduct Drew from Afghanistan.

Anna was quietly devastated, and she and Valentin determined that they needed to ask themselves whether protecting Peter was putting the ones they loved at risk.

At the nightclub, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) met secretly with Liesl. Liesl and Britt talked about how Anna was trying to track Liesl down, and about how Liesl wasn’t going to let Peter get away with his crimes.

Liesl said that it was time to ramp up her scheme, and that she was going to break into Maxie and Peter’s place later to snoop around. After Liesl took off, Maxie came in and shared a warm moment with Britt.

At Maxie and Peter’s apartment, the camera panned to a pile of mail on the table, and the envelope from “D. Marick” was there, unopened. Peter answered the door to Finn, and the two men tried on their tuxes for the wedding.

Later, Peter got a call from Anna asking him to come over for a talk, and after he left, Liesl broke into the apartment and snooped around.

Back at the coffee shop, Finn spotted Alexis, who was nursing her third cup of coffee. Alexis noted that she had her second 24-hour chip from AA in less than a week.

Finn took Alexis’ hand and said that he was there as her friend. Finn told Alexis earnestly that she needed to treat herself better and that she deserved that.

Back at crimson, Nina was alone when Willow, Michael, and Wiley walked in the door of Nina’s office. “We thought you might be up for a visit,” Michael said kindly, as Wiley waved cutely to a very touched Nina.
